Males and Females

Hi. Im a first time grower, and i pretty much understand everything besides one part. When you are checking your plants and you see that one is a male, what exactly should you do with it, and will it grow and bud? Are the males pretty much useless? What is an average ratio of males to females in say 10 seeds? PS. Ive read pretty much every guide out there and this is the only thing i cant figure out. Thanks for the help!

I can't answer everything but here goes:
-male plant can be made into hash or used to pollinate (sp) otherwise trash it and quick!
-there isn't a ratio that I know of.
Peace

Can't say when it comes to seeds. There are regular seeds and then there are feminized seeds that are bred to produce 99.9% female "seed clones". So the answer would vary.

I don't want to take a chance of polluting my females and throw the male away.

So if i find any males in the batch i should basically keep the leaves, and then dig em up and get rid of them?

Unless you want your fem's to seed, you'd be better off just killing the males. In seeds you will get a ratio of 50:50 males and females. Males are good for a number of reasons, but if you want sensi', it is wise to kill the males. Male plants do not produce bud.

KILL THE MALES they pollenate ur femmes and make dem produce seeds, unelss ur planning on startin ur own strain, just kill em and throw dem away in a far far place where u will never see them again
