male pollination

how long before males release pollen in the 12/12 cycle im almost a week in and i believe i have a couple males but i want to make sure but i dont want to pollinate my females, anyone have any suggestions?

the males should show male traits before females start to flower... The females start to grow little white hairs while the male will produce pollen sacks. They look like liitle green balls. They will get a little smaller than a pea(veg). You should be able to tell before theypop
