Male Hermie

I have been growing regular cannabis for many of years. This is my first attempt at autoflowers. I chose Lowryder # 2 to start with. Out of 5 beans 4 sprouted. 3 of the 4 are male. The female is beautiful. She started flowering on day 20. The male in question started produce pollen sacs on day 16. He was the healthiest and first to show sex. I was planning on using him to breed the female for beans.

I noticed today that at the main top he is starting to get flowers. I have seen 3 pistils so far. After it showed showed sex I moved it out of my grow room and put him under a 100 watt cfl. He was started under a diamond series led grow light.

Could the change is light cause him to hermie or is it most likely genetics?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Temps stayed around 80. During the stretch it did get around 1.5 inches from the light for about a day and I adjusted it. It did start showing slight light burn. I gave it some nutes a couple of days before that. I was using half strength. Then went full strength. Then it started showing hairs.

Stability is why I chose the JD beans. All my research pointed to it being one of the most stable autos on the market. I have heard of a diesel ryder turning hermie, but they didnt give alot of details into the grow. It could have been stress induced.

Feminizing was the original goal until I only got one female. I have feminized a sour diesel once just to see to get the experience of doing it. I have had them under 24 hour lights, but the girl is looking ok. My wife's cat did chew off one of the fan leaves a couple of days before it happened also.

I wonder if it was stressed induced if I get its environment stable if it will quit putting out hairs or if the damage is irreversible.

I forgot about most of the above until you started asking questions. lol. Thanks for the input tekdc911. Looking forward to hearing some more of your thoughts.
