Male Flowers

I guess this is best asked of our natural and outdoor growers... I'm an indoor man myself, set up multiple rooms for different stages. Because of this need to conserve space and to avoid wasted time on hermie's, I, like most of my fellow indoor growers, trash males ASAP. Has anyone ever grown a male to maturity? Do they flower and bloom like any other plant?? I know this is probably a noob sounding question, I've just never taken the time.

This is more of a curiosity than anything and I'm sure there's an outdoor grower who might have some pics to share. Any answers, much appreciated.

i've seen outdoor males fully grown, and they just make flowers, that do not look like buds. They do smell good tho.
