Malawi and Taskenti(Uzbekistan indica). Ace seeds and Cannabiogen

Does it matter if it was force flowered?
i agree that it is better to allow it to grow as naturally as possible, I'm just wondering how much of a difference it makes.

na it just means he can grow the plants out to their full potential and ripeness. I'm pretty sure force flowering wouldn't effect your plants differently from natural.
You should force flower some of your golden tigers 3 weeks before flower and then just leave them from the end of august onwards- still natural.

Thanks guys, These are going to go crazy outside.

malawi 3.jpg

There seems to be 2 distinct phenotypes from the malawi/mulanje line. One very tall branchy one and a shorter single top one with massive leaves.

Way to go CK!
you have a nice mix in there.

Question: if I pop my Malawi and only give it a couple weeks of 20/4 light and then flip to 12/12... How much growth and stretch should I expect? I would be doing LST for sure. The flowering time is going to be the same no matter what I do but controlling the size of the final plant and maximizing my production is what I am interested in doing.

Watching yours is is making me want to start mine as soon as I can.

Yeah it looks like an authentic malawi aye? slight blue tinted skinny leaves, the other pheno not so much.

I'd say 3 week from germination would give you a decent sized plant, I've never grown ace malawi but the wild malawi grows like theres no tomorrow with stretching etc. but I think ace malawi is more indoor adapted than the pure landrace malawi with more manageable height and also 11/13 lighting is recommend for pure satis to stop elongation a bit. Most grows I've seen with ace malawis only stretch comfortably, same with the panama too - a lot of hard breeding has gone into this strain. I trust the spanish companies the most when it comes to landrace genetics

Yeah, does your lemon kush have big calyxes that stick out?. The blue og kush thats in my room at the moment is a classic kush indica.

I have a really skinny leaf pheno with the malawi and it has nearly doubled in height and it hasn't shown the sex yet.

The LK is really small. I have it in with the White Widow doing 12/12FS. I have a few pics in my journal thread. They are just starting to flower so I got a few weeks to go before starting any others. It was just an experiment to see how they would grow when done like this. Also to see what a vermiculite reservoir under soil would do. It think I'll try that again with a normal grow instead of 12/12FS.

The LK does have the wide Indica leaves.

yeah being a kush plant your description sounds about right, I reckon you should try some rockwool for your next LK grow.

I Have taken some clones off the Taskenti - a very minty/piney hash smelling plant, definitely not your usual kush.

I noticed those Taskenti seeds are NOT cheap. I hope they produce well.
Spending big money on seeds can be a little hard until you actual get to the harvest.
Scanning Attitude finds seeds that are >$20 per seed. Some push the $30 mark in some banks. If it wasn't for the pound you can harvest from some strains it would be a little risky.

So back to the Malawi: What do you think about doing FEM seeds with it? Or maybe the Golden Tiger?

i could do up some colloidal silver easily enough and the Malawi will have enough branches for me to produce pollen and seed with a couple of them while still getting some good buds on the rest. At least that is my thought seeing as I need to do it indoors anyway.

Lol I'd happily pay more for those seeds, you don't realise how much breeding work has gone into that strain!, stabilised to 9 generations! and no one else has this strain in the seed business.
They will produce nicely like most kush types, I'll pick genetics over money anyday. No point buying cheap strains unless they are Mandala - check them out man, they have some really really nice strains for cheap.

Yeah you could do fem seeds for sure, maybe you could do a malawi x golden tiger making a 75-25 malawi-thai ratio'd plant or you could grow out the GT and seek out the thai dominant pheno and feminise that.

spray a cutting mate, not the mother plant to reduce hermy's.
