Malana Cream?

Hi folks, anyone familiar with MalanaCream? (from RealSeedCompany)

I had 2/3 seeds germinate, and they're both female. I kinda wanted one to be male so that I could make more seeds, but - it can wait.
Any thoughts on what I can expect? As for their smell ... it's divine. I can smell the Himalaya from here!
Here are my two girls - about 8 days since flip.

The second one looks like the first one's retarded little sister.

I don't have much experience growing a straight sativa. I've topped them while in veg and did some basic LST.
Here is a top view of both

Any thoughts?
I always enjoy the feedback from you folks, don't be shy!

Looks like you can back off the nutrients some. Other than that keep on growing. It's nice to see others growing strains like this instead of the typical cookie cutter hybrids so many grow.

I don't have the Malana Cream but I have a bunch of stuff from the Real Seed Company. I grew the Mazar I Sharif and made seeds and a couple crosses. I'm growing one cross right now. Mazar I Sharif + Pakistani Chitral Kush/Durban F4.

Good luck with your grow and keep posting pictures. :blsmoke:

Thank you! Nice to see other like-minded folks on the forum, like you say, everyone nowadays seem to only care about hybridX X hybridY with THC yields over 35% - it's like we're in an arms-race to see who can produce the strongest pot ever - meh.
I wasn't going to say anything, but I did chuck some afghani pollen at her, we'll see if that does anything.
Really curious about your Mazar I Sharif + Chitral Kush cross, have you made a thread?

I have a thread over in Breeders Paradise. I haven't posted anything since July. And now that I just looked at it I realize it was a Pakistani Chitral Kush + Durban F3 I crossed the Mazar I Sharif with not an F4.

I'm going through a bunch of stuff and making seeds of everything. I have a bunch more work to do but I find it more exciting than just growing for harvest. I still end up with more weed than I can consume and am saving genetics while making new crosses. I just finished growing out the Ethiopian and made a few hundred seeds of that and a few crosses. One was an Afghani + Ethiopian cross but with so many crosses I have I don't know when I'll get to growing any as my focus is growing out the landraces and IBL's to make more seeds.

Here's some of my Real Seed Company landrace strains:

And here is some of my ACE Seeds genetics.

If the end result is really good, I'll try to reveg her. Or I may just put in another order to RSC for more, I dunno yet.
Like you, I'm sitting on a pile of landrace cultivars as well, Tirah, the Afghan Mix (where his buddy mixed all the seeds together by mistake) and then from India Rasoli, and the Kumoani. I have 5 beans left of the Mango Thai as well, but the first one I tried turned out to be hermied AF.
There is method to my madness, mostly I'm just limited by available space.
cheers

36 days in.

Pretty fluffy buds and not that resinous so far IMO. We'll see how she looks in another 6 weeks or so (guessing by then it will be getting close, this being a 100% sativa)
it will fill out some and get more frost, but pure sativa buds will never look like indica buds... part of the reason a lot of people turn away from them.

I'm not too worried about what they look like. I already have other stuff that is insanely frosty. Right now I'm just enjoying watching those big colas fill up, and the smell is unlike any ganj I've ever smelled before.

the Malana region is historically a very interesting place... the hash was at one point considered the best in the world, and the descendants are said to be linked to Alexander the Great's army... I was supposed to be getting some seeds sent to me direct from a guy who lives around there, but he backed out of the deal... I really wanted to try some of the thais the real seed co has, but seems like they are always out of stock... I asked the guy about it in the summer, and he said there would be a restock in September, but that never happened... you should think about making some crosses with your remaining mango thai seeds... or cuttings from them...

Yeah I'll get around to testing with the MangoThai again sooner or later. But you know how it goes, you get a bunch of interesting genetics in the mail and now there is a queue of breeding projects on the go, with limited space :eyesmoke:

Do you run a shortened light cycle? I am gathering information for my next grow of various Ace Seeds NLD varieties. They say veg no longer than 15 days and go to 11/13. I think I will do 12/12 for the veg and then drop it down.
