MAKING FRISIAN DUCK SEEDS

Well I have to say that I'm not very impressed with this strain. The only thing about it is the odd leaves, and even then you can still tell that it's cannabis so don't be putting these on your front porch in non-legal states. I crossed it with my PCK/Durban and made some fem seeds that I'll be giving all of away to friends. But this isn't something I'll be spending anymore time with.

That's too bad, I'd disagree though I have asked people who have an idea of what weed looks like and they dont know wtf it is.
I posted in show n tell outdoors and someone asked me where the fan leaves are.
The other pheno i have has half the volume of branches and foliage so it may depend on the phenos you got or grow medium/size etc.
These seem to like to grow in outdoor heat which I have plenty of.

WHat are you looking for?
Strong smell, huge yeild, high thc? I think this one doesn't have any of that from what i've read.

Durban is an interesting strain, does it really give you an energetic high or is that b.s?

Yeah, the yield seems poor, not much smell, small plant, overall I'm not impressed. It's more of a novelty plant. Plus this is the only plant in my tent that's foxtailing and not in a good way. But I did make a cross and I'll grow some of those just to see if the duckfoot trait is passed on. Who knows, maybe the cross I made turns out really good. Also I guess some people might not identify it as cannabis but It isn't fooling me. I'm still glad I grew it just to see what it was like.

As for the Durban, yes it is more of an energetic high. The strain I grew is from Sensi and is mostly sativa. They say 90% on their website. It gets you good and high but not in a couch lock way like some indica's. I like it and is great for your morning bong hit to start the day and still get things done. Plus it tastes really good.

I guess I got lucky sort of.
I only grew 2/3 seeds.
The smaller one which is still healthy and starting to stretch smells and tastes like nothing! ZERO.
The bigger one has a faint stem rub, kinda faint greeny spicy smell.
Nibbling on the fan leaf stem though it has this nice distinctive taste of dried cardamom/coriander so I'm hopeful.
Oh and how was the color?

Thanks I'm going to try the durban from sensi from pevgrow.

It turned purple. Haven't harvested it yet. And that Durban is good.

3 for 20 bux for their fem. I'm a sucker for a good sale lol

I've never grown the Dutch Passion Durban. I am getting ready to harvest some of their Skunk #1. So far I'm happy with it. I'll make the final determination after harvest and I try some of it. I did grow some of their Master Kush awhile back and that turned out really good. But that's all the experience I have with Dutch Passion genetics. So far I've been pleased. I don't know anything about their auto's. I've only grown regular seeds from them.

Does anyone know how long it takes to clone these? In rapid rooters, 5th day removed clear recycling bag today from the tray and some to let it dry.
They all pretty healthy. They drooped yesterday but I sprayed them.

forgot to reply to this, it took almost 2 weeks then got very thick hairy white roots. i had a hell of a time saving these from leafhoppers and spider mites but they are starting to flower and smell. #2 is starting to purple when you look closely.

Just some additional info for you as I have grown Frisian Duck as well..I live in Canada and grew outdoor.

My experience:
Plants grow to be about 6 1/2-7 feet...outside
Turns purple as it flowers.
I didn't have any issues making fem seeds.I did over winter inside
People I know, didn't recognize it as cannabis..obviously depends on people's experience with cannabis in general.
That's said, I'd have to agree, buds were a little airy..rumour has it though..it's a good buzz..Mine didn't finish as the snow got it.
Presently crossing with some Auto's to improve strength and create Autoflower version in a couple generations.

Plants all have their own unique results depending on where and how you grow..

Cheers

I only grew two but 1 turned purple sooner and was pretty weak but waxier collection on scissors. Imo nice looking waste of time.
The 2nd didnt purple until waaay later in November when i left it outside.
High was a nice warm hybrid buz but flowers look sativa and not much theicomes.
Smell was great like cardamom.
Buds kind of airy but i grew outdoors with not a lot of direct sun in late summer.
I left them go and made some IBLs of the one worth while and will grow it out as a house plant in s. Window

I'm mostly outdoors as well, which is why I'm so drawn to these 2 for mold/rot resistance. Got some autos to try out this year for a first.
