Making An rollitup App

hi im abit curious by any chance is there anyone on the r.i.u crew able to make an app for this site 1 that will be able to download 2 my htc mobile phone on the android market, so thats its easier to upload an communicate with my profile. :mrgreen::roll::mrgreen:
 
Don't know, if they aren't in the process I think they should open it up to willing members and arrange some kind of deal. :D <<

Just read someone else talking about how .org is non profit, but still even if no one made money i think someone might be willing to program one out of the desire/kindness.
 
just because its a .org it doesn't mean that it can't make money, it just has to be re-invested back into the site, be it servers or competitions or maintenence etc could be a nice little bonus

Ya I started that last thread. I know there's a ton of members on here, someones gotta be a programmer. Hell I bet you could make a paypal account and take donations to get a mobile app made! I'd pitch in!

:) no it means THEY can't MAKE MONEY. Obviously they use the attitude seeds ad to pay for servers, IT people, url name etc etc.

AND most non profit orgs actually pay employees so you can make quite a bit of money working for a non profit. The org just can't retain any "profits" :P

I know C, C+ and I'm dabbling/learning some JAVA. Don't really know Xcode (app language) but maybe ill get bored enough to learn it and make a RIU app :P.

Owning and running a .org TLD does not mean it can not be used for profit or business, at all. There is no law for .org TLDs, it is open and unrestricted to anyone or any business OR non-profit. The money does NOT have to be invested back into servers, maintenance, employees or otherwise and can be distributed as the owner sees fit. :)
