making a hookah. need some help

i found a glass vase that would make an amazing hookah.
i need help putting a hole in the glass
also what could i use for a stem?
and help would be greatly apreciated!

You don't need to put a hole in the class for a hookah. If you really need to, you'll need a glass bit.

umm no......everything can be made into the lid / bowl area

oh i understand.
im thinking of a nice way to make it.
first ill cut a soda can in half. and use the bottom half as the bowl. ill put lots of holes in it.
and that will lead into the stem down into the water. the stem wil be made of a pipe. and the hose can come out of the pipe somewhere.
does this seem to make sence?
