Making a file cabinet grow box-suggestions

Well i was thinking of cutting some holes on the backside of it and having a desktop fan keeping the air moving.... what else do you suggest that size that i could use? I'd like a turnkey so it could be locked most of the time and i dont wanna buy one of these 1500 pre-made ones.

the bigger space the better but as long as your not growing big bud it should be fine just get a cooltube like he said

whats up im actually using a two door 7Foot cabinet with a 400 watt hps on top and cfl on bottom for veg and if you plan on closing the doors you have to get a nice fan to pull that air out and a small one pulling in ill post a pic later today and give you an idea it works so nice

What tools would younuse to cut into a metal filing cabinet? I don't want to drop like $500 for a plasma cutter, could I use a normal cheapo jigsaw, etc.?

Yeah im going to use a 150w hps and i'll see how the temps are and i'll make the fan decition when the time comes.
Yeah i was thinking of using a jigsaw, i would think it would be pretty easy, then for the edges that are sharp just use a file and get it looking nice.

sorry if you didnt understant and i didnt take any pics yet for sure tomorrow. ill try to exsplain, my cabinet is 7 ft tall 3 1/2 feet wide and 2 1/2 ft deep. i put one of the drawers in it about half way on the bottom half i bought CFLS and i have some magnetic flouros. on the top i have a 400 watt HPS with a canfan at the verytop pulling hot air out a fan in the middle to blow cool air in and in the CFL room i have just a fan blowing in. in order for me to be able to close the doors on the cabinet i had to get that canfan. the cabinet works awesome i also lined it in reflective tape

So a jigsaw would cut through a 1/4" or whatever it is of steel?

IDK what kind of cabinets you use but i havent seen any 1/4 of an inch thick.. You would probably need something more than a jigsaw to cut through that but im not sure i havent used a jigsaw a lot.

IMO, In a space that small, you will have better luck with CFLs, there is going to be a lot of heat in a cab that small, getting in and out of the cab can be a problem, light proofing a metal cab like this is a bitch, and cutting through the metal for intake/exhaust was scary. If I had it to do all over again, I'd use a wooden filing cab, go to your local thrift store, mine had like 5 of them and the most expensive was $15.
