I went down to my outdoor plants today and found huge problems!!

1) I have yellowy small spiders that are running around on the leaves

2) I found 2 snails that migrated their way into the pots

3) I found a centipede that is ~ 2 inches long. it was sitting on my leaves gnawing away at them, the little fucker. HUGE chunks were taken out of my leaves! it ate about 3 or 4 leaves (total, but it ate 1/2 of 8 leaves)

I know the centepede is gonna die today, but should I kill the snails or spiders?

HELP PLEASE! im planning on making some heavy duty bug nets...

i gave the bug to my neighbor. hes 7 so i know hes gonna murder it in some horrible way. i didnt have the heart to kill it.
Damn those centipedes are NASTY! We have them too and they get HUGE. We cut one in half with our garage door and both halves stayed alive for over a day - ewwwwww! I hope that 7 year old is careful AND tortures that thing - they are disgusting and aren't even a beneficial bug.

Sorry about your bugs. Get yourself some neem oil (good garden stores have it in pre-mixed sprays) and maybe some sticky traps if you want to go organic. The sticky traps work great for crawlers but will have to occasionally be replaced if they get soaking wet alot. Your 7 year old neighbor would probably love to see what the sticky trap catches (ours get scorpions all the time).

May your bugs be gone soon! Your plants will probably recover if they have at least half of their leaves.

Good luck! :leaf:

thanks for the advice! im glad to know my plants probably wont die either. I am definately not going to put on any harmful chemicals, because i plan on smokin this shit when i'm done!

Its weird because ive never seen a centipede in my life. Then this bastard is all over my plants and its over 2 inches long. It had 60 legs...i counted. hopefully now it has none, but well see.

outdoors is so much fun to grow in ;)

since your pot is in pots, spread snail poison around the grow area... make a line of death for them... i do not remember if lye or lime works to keep the bugs out too... do some searching on how to set up pest barriers for outdoor grows.

ur neighbor is one twisted individual .. lol i think some sort of barricade around the bottom of your plants would work .. like a moat .. but idk i dont have those things ..

caterpillars eat leaves though...im not sure if they are what i want.

im gonna but some neem oil, get bug screens from home depo, and possibly try the beer trick.

the beer trick works really well .. just get some cheapo beer no need to waste a good brew .. u can cover your beer too so rain doesnt dilute it.. just cut holes in the sides of a plastic container about like a cool whip container

Neem oil fer sure I use it once a week when lights off. Also snails just bury a cup of beer up to the top and the snails will drowned themselfs. Good Neighbor keep it twisted lil Buddy.

I hate reviving my own threads, but now i have even more problems.

i got black bears. i saw one within 50 feet of my plants...it was about 3 feet tall when walking on 4 legs. probably like 6 or 7 feet standing up. this is great because now i cant go down without thinking im going to get mauled.
