Ok so ive been growing 5 DWC females under 300wt CFLs but i switched to a 600watt HPS last night that i ordered. This new HPS keeps tripping my breaker when i have the microwave, tv, stove and other lights for plants and fans are on.. I know the first answer would be to set it up on its own breaker but its too much rewiring and honestly i dont have a CLUE on how to do it. Can anyone give me some real helpful ideas? Always +rep but 2 of my plants are alreaded budded and almost time to harvest and i CANT lose them.. i also need another inline fan cuz its reaching 95 degrees in there! please help!

You are going to need a new circuit pulled. There is no if and or buts. A 600 Watt HID uses more than a 3rd of your available wattage on a 15 amp circuit. call in a pro. It will cost about as much as your light did, maybe a tad more depending on length of new run.

if you are in need of a quick fix, depending on the layout of your house, check your breaker panel to see what breakers feed which outlets ( hopefully its labeled ). Then you need to figure out which area of the house uses the least amount of electricity, bathrooms are usually good becuase they are usually on their own dedicated breaker and other than the lights in your bathroom not much power is being used ( don't let your wife use the hairdryer while your lights are on if this is the case ). Once you have figured out where you want to plug into, go get a 20 amp extension cord ( do not get a lower amp rating, more is ok ) and feed just your light from this extension cord. I ran my light this way at my last house. Went into the attic, cut a hole and dropped cords where i needed to.

Watts/Voltage = Amps 600w/110v(household outlet) = 5.45 amps

General equation you can use for all household products to determine amperage.

but its not worth burning down your house. calling an electrician is your best bet.

hope this helps

oh yea as for heat, get yourself an a/c or an air cooled hood with a good exhaust fan, and keep your ballast outside of your grow area.
