Every 4 ft we drove 2ft 2x4 stakes into the ground then built our walls on top of them. We also didn't have much plastic on our large greenhouse. But we've survived storms just as windy without the greenhouse coming down with it fully covered. It might shred our cover but the frame always wins.

Yeah I used to build homes for a living. It definitely helps out greatly to know your trades.Yeah I forgot you got the building background
I build my own structures, install boilers, wiring, plumbing and grew up in an automotive garage.
Now I just need to teach my son these trades.

Important to pass those trades on for sure. Ive always worked with my hands and being in the garden or in a field is in my blood and have worked with electronics, electrical, hydraulics all my life. I was telling something similar about learning farming/trades to a young buck and he said he didnt need to worry about that he would just get whatever he needed from a company that sold it. I was fucking astonished.

He's learning. He takes welding in school and will have several cert's when he's completed.
He has no choice but to learn. He keeps breaking his jeep and he has to help fix it or he can walk.
If he wants a house someday. He better learn how to build.
Kids these days are ether lazy or have been brain washed by big business.

Yeah it is really nice but it gets cold and difficult to get to at times.

Finished up a 16x30 deck today. Stripped the decking and stairs yesterday and started laying deck boards. Today I finished up.
I feel like I got hit by a truck, my body is so sore.
Oh yeah outdoor girls are doing great.

me and momma took apart the little greenhouse and moved it ,put it back together and put up pool and really feel my bones tonight I just eat another cookie and got the dam munchies bad

15 yrs ago we lived in a trailer with no septic. Built our first home out of pocket, and every dime of our tax returns. Took 3 years, moved in to it in 04. Used some equity to buy a rental house. Retired from contracting at 40. Bought this place at a foreclosure auction for a steal. Wife's job got shipped to Colorado. We moved up on the mountain and never looked back..just a puppy haha,long as I keep moving iam fine,just hard to get going again once I stop,looks like u did some thing right in life real nice spot my freind
Still do.. It now takes a whole day to recover. That's why I only drink 3 days a week.Yep Im hitting 42 end of the year, but I hear you, 16x30 not a small deck
