Main stem of plant getting chewed through please help!

Hello, nooby grower here looking for some possible solutions to my plant. This is my first year growing outdoors and I have a problem with one of my plants. They are all in pots but this one seems to be getting chewed on at the base right near the soil line.And whats happening to the plant is its starting to turn more yellow and its only on its third leaf set while all the others are on there fifth or so. So if anyone could help me identify the pest and how to exterminate it it would be much appreciated

could be any number of pest suggest u use neem if stalk isnt to big u could try slitting a straw open and placing it around stalk

i think snails can cause this damage too when i place seedlings out door i had same problem they chew through it till plant falls over almost like a beaver would do to a tree
do u see any snail tracks in morning ?
maybe try some slug killer or spread salt around them
even heard of some making a mote around it and using beer the slugs will be attracted to it and drown or at least be to drunk to fuck with plants

Throw some mothballs down.. And piss around your plants that will keep most pests away for a little while.. till your piss dries up at least.
