Main-lined NL5XHAZE

Hey all, it's been a while since I've posted over here. Have not had alot of time recently as I've been dealing with some personal business but I have had things going in the background. On 11/13 I began germinating 4 NL5XHAZE seeds using the paper towel method. Within 12 hrs 2 had shown their tails and by 24 hours they were all ready to go. 24 hours after that they were up above the soil and hungry for the light. It has been just over a month and 3 out of four have been topped 3 times cloned once and transplanted once. The last is little Suzy who got light burn after a foliar on some young leaves. The damage at her young age put her a few days behind her sisters. She has been topped twice and transplanted once. They will all be transplanted to their final containers soon.

And something from today.

Thanks for stopping by feel free to comment. Id like to hear from those of you using similar techniques. This run is all organic, with the exception of protekt every third or fourth watering. Fed ACT this morning, the girls look happy to me.

i had a very hze version of hz xnl5 in 1989..it was insanely trippy..unfortunately every one i have seen lately is more indica..

that said : its still a fine cross
Yea I'm not sure but I think it has gone homogenous as far as I can tell. At least sensi's version, haven't seen one of those pretty sativa phenos except for some oooooold beans an old timer around here had. Too bad I didn't know what he had at the time.

That being said I'd like to try the mr. Nice version at some point cause I've seen some more sativa looking phenos from that cross.

*Clone Update"
So funny story. I've been trying to get these clones to root for a week now and environmental are good, everything is good except they won't root. So I'm getting irritated and decide to pop the dome and inspect a cube. It was cooooold. I had definitely forgotten to plug in their heat mat. The next morning? Roots.

Transplanted the bigger gals today. They spent roughly 3 weeks in one gallon jugs, nothing but water and recharge, unammended roots organics soil. Fed a single time two days ago with ACT.20151219_122453.jpg

They have now run the gauntlet and survived. I pushed these gals hard and they took all the abuse I could throw at them. I had heard from many that this strain is finicky or can be difficult but so far I have not seen it. She seems vigorous and hardy to me. Now they rest up a few weeks before their final transplant and the flip to flower.

Nice root structure on one of the penelope clones so I plopped her in some soil. Grow baby grow.

I'm excited to compare as well, you're a bit ahead of me but my gals will be flowering here soon!
And your gals are looking really lush too!

I had the feeling the strain pheno's (is that a verb? lol) a bit --- I see yours have pretty broad leaves, reminds me of one of mine, alas that was the one who was growing pretty slowly as compared to the other... however, yours are already taller that she was - I think :)

Mine are definitely displaying more northern lights than I'd like, though I have one that is starting to look a tad more sativa as she matures, only time will tell. I was really hoping for some sativa trees taking over my space, I think it would be a fun challenge to have too much plant. :p

Yeah, I really hear you on the sativa-ishness, I was actually scared of it a bit, but it hasn't really happened in terms of vertical growth. I was thinking grower error perhaps, since I really did train them a lot throughout their growth phase ;)
The one that was more indica in the beginning now has sativa-ish leaves like the other, though it hasn't started growing like one lol
So yes, time will tell how they develop!:weed:
