Howdy… If you can help out it's great… I'm just wondering the ideal distance a 1000 HPS bulb in a air vented Magnum XXXL hood would be from a plant in late veg…

use the back of your hand to determine hood height. that's about the easiest way to figure it out. I run 2x big kahuna hoods.

You want the light as close to the plant as possible without burning it....back of hand test" hover your hand over your plant, if your hand gets uncomfortably hot in 10 seconds its too close.
