First off, I'm the type of person that has a hard time leaving things alone. I always see a way to make things better. I am still new to indoor growing and have only been indoors with leds for 2 and a half. First year was plagues with pest and powdermold. A friend told me to try more but less (25 2g plants in a 4 x 4 tray flowered at 6"). This was my first true success. 10 oz. with the magnum plus. Feeling comfortable with knowing what the girls need, I was ready to get my second light and move from a tent to a room (6x10x10h). Within a week of getting my mag plus2, I had already taken it apart and seen more than one way to make it better. This light puts out a dizzying amount of light, but it also has enough light leak out the side to make you squint a little. The light has 12 light pods that only take 2 screws to remove along with a power lead for 2 pods. The pods can be opened with 4 screws. The top lens plate has the fish eye lens all as a single plastic mold. On the heat sinks side, the heat sink is about 3 quarters of an inch thick with the board attached. The gap from the board to the lens is about a quarter inch. There is nothing to contain the stray light and reflect it all thru the lens. Even if it's only a small %, with a $10 light meter I saw almost 5% more @ 12". The lens do give a true 60 degrees, so you get full light, @ 20" you gain 8" out. Now to get that 4 x4 footprint. I tore apart 2 four foot florescent lights the reflector plate is wide enough to screw the light pods to. I figure @ 12" I will get 6" of light to the side. So 36" front edge of pod to edge of pod. The only wires that had to be lengthened is the one between the set. 22g wire, soldered and heatshrink. The pods are now about 11" on center (4). The new reflector is screwed to the housing and plugged in. The center 4 are screwed to the middle, but @ about 6" on center with the end angle outward. The overall width is about 28" wide. I have this on a light mover (only 6"). I now have 1 mother and a veg tent, t-5. I through 8 to 10 in the flower room every 3 weeks. I'm now play with different size pots and longer vegging. I don't have hard numbers at the moment, due to moving things and changing the light.

well, it's morning for them, so I am able to get more pic. Now that I've got the veg tent, I have only one mother ( second mother is now under the magnum plus), so now I can start vegging longer. I think it's platinum cookies, with my agent orange mother (both 6 months old) now flowering for a few weeks. Before I was going from clones to 2g bags (dirt/perlite, 2g bags can fit 25 or36 in 4x4 tray) with barely a week in the dirt. 15, then 10, now 4(in 3g bags, 16 fill 4x4 tray). So now I'll be trying 4 3g bags, vegging for 2+ weeks, every 2 weeks. That will be 5 stages of flowering under 666 watts covering 4'x 6' of tray. My numbers keep getting better as I'm making changes (30 2g bags on 4x4 tray 15 2g= 4 oz, today 10 2g= 4 oz, next week 5 2g=duh wait til next week:dunce:. These numbers are only 1/3 of the light. I'm going with 3g bags and longer veg because I will have 2 led pods going back and forth over each plant.

Found a few more pics. The next 5 agent oranges are running past their 55 to 65 days, but are bursting out all over, so they will get another week. The dark pic is from the attic where my fan is mounted, pulling through the carbon filter without a problem.

So you've only seen 2/3s of the room. Under my magnum plus I have put my 6 month old mother agent orange. She's over 4' tall and about 16" up from the dirt, I count 20 main branches. I can't wait to see her when done. The pvc cage is there to spread out the branches.

I decided to go a few more day. Last night I was able to get 2 of the 5 trimmed. I like to get 90% trimmed before it's hanged.Tonight I will be putting in 4 more in 3g bags. these 4 girl scout cookies are almost 2' and will be taller than those already flowering. I'm changing from 35 2g bags 20 3g bags in my 4' x 6' tray. This is easier to do in my veg tent. At most, I will have 8 plants in 3g bags and 1 mother in a 10 to 15g bag. The mother is on the floor with the others sitting in a 3' x 3' tray. These 2 had only 2 weeks to veg.

Finally fix the blues on my magnum plus. I broke one LED while reworking ( bending the circuit board to 23*) the panel. The Magplus sits over my agent orange mother with a quarter of the panel overlapping the 4x4 tray. My finish plants end in the overlap area. Was also able to get the cords cleaned up. Problems getting pics right now.

So the totals for the last 5 agent oranges was a few grams short of 3 ounces. The good news my numbers are still moving upwards, the bad news is the next set will be another strain (platinum cookies or girl scout cookies?). That 5 was one row out of 5 on a 4x4 tray. Now I'm throwing in a single row of 4 3g bags for a total of 16 in that tray. My cookies mother will be going in the tent after the agent orange mother is done. The cookies that have been going in are between 15" to 24". I have plenty of height so no worries there. One good thing the cookies are much denser and much frostier.

Spent today making a new housing for the panel. The new housing is around 36"x 40". I cut up 3 8ft. fluorescent light fixtures and riveted it together. I didn't have time to do the lenses and didn't finish the rewiring of the light. It will have 3 fans pulling in air and 2 pushing it out. It should cool better than before. I'm a little out of it, trimming til 5am last night and now it's after 1am. Had to put my badboy T5 (6 bulb) in the panels place for now.

the 3 oz is for the all 5. They only vegged for less than 2 weeks. The group of 10 before that had barely a week out of the cloner. So if the whole table was done at that rate, my 4x4 tray would have been around 15 oz.( 25-30 plants in a 4x4 tray, perpetual). Now I'm changing to 4 rows of 4 in 3g bags, with 3-6 weeks vegging. I also checked my tap waters PH, and it is over 8.0. This could have been happening for a month or 3. Last few times I checked it (January), it has been stable at 6.5. The last feeding really showed it. Out came the Claw (leaves). Now the mother agent orange, will be done in a month, and she should be a few oz.'s by herself.

Like always, I wasn't happy with slopping it together, so I thought I would make it look professional. I should have one more day to finish it. Was trying to finish it while the paint was still wet.

That took longer than I wanted, but it's done. I used everything I could from the original panel. The air flow thorough the fixture seems better than before. The old housing easily fits inside the new one. If I can find time, I will try to get a picture of the light print @ 12"

They all are still recovering but stable. Most of the leaves on the mother turned yellow and all the hairs stays orange for 2 weeks. It's just now starting to grow new white hairs. She won't be finished until july 4. The good news on the mother is she has about 18 or more top all the same size and starting to get bigger again. In the 4x4 tray I have 3 rows (13) 2 and a half weeks apart that got the claw really bad. They are also looking better but still ugly. On july 4 the mother (agent orange) and 5 OG cookies will be done. The other day I put 4 more in and now I'm behind on my clones. 2 of the 4 were 14", about 4" shorter than I would have liked. I'll try to get some pics tomorrow.

thanks. Was hoping for some big numbers with the mother and 5 two footers, but the water/feed issue put a big hit on that. It should still be decent #s, but was looking so good before that happened.
