Best part about that it's up to you...what kind of HIGH are you going for..stoney head high..or a laid back body high...more red/amber hairs creates the stoney head high

"this works great,Why did that guy find dirt? ew. i can see sticky tri-kro's up close. Real close. Looks like a rain forest. No dirt here."

"This microscope works very well for the price trichomes look like baseballs......:)"

"This is what you want, and hey, it's only [$]. A great way to tell when to harvest."

Ha those are great product reviews!! I will be getting one today!

It's fuckin hard to use! Small eye peice and squinting trying to keep the light out sucks... now i think i need glasses from that damn thing gerr.

I hate how it's inverted, I squashed my glands on the top nug because this thing sucks... or maybe I just got tired after trying to focus for 8 min squinting and holding it over a nug, fuck it, I'll just pick it when it's around 8 weeks

You think this would work well? 3-Lens Magnifier I kind of want to take the other thing back... I mean you get REALLY close up views of the T's but do you need to see it THAT close? I hope 15x would be enough right??

in the grow faq it says you need at least 25x but i dunno i just got that 60x-100x so i would be certain. it is a pain in the neck dealin with those tiny little dials and shit though peace

stick with the advise on the RS microscope. That 3 lens 15x thing sucks......I tossed mine. Believe me, I've tried them all and I agree that the microscope is a pain in the ass, but for the money it is the best choice. Keep in mind that the higher the power the smaller the depth of field which means 1/16" of an inch either way will put you out of focus. One thing you might want to try is to pick a nug, lay it flat on a table and shine a flashlight on it. It'll be easier to steady the RS microscope and the flashlight will suppliment that cheapo light on the microscope. I actually bought one of those articulating arms that hold a worklight above a drafting table and glued the RS microscope to the arm. I put the MS near the nug and then move the nug(rather than the MS) till it comes in focus.

Good luck!

wow GoHydro you are amazing! I just don't like the idea or pickin a nug, but it's my first plant... well I'm glad I didn't take anything back yet... GREAT IDEA on the articulating arm! How much did that run you?

It is really cool to see everything THAT close I will say, it's like "The Nug World" I don't think I'll find anything else that awesome to look at, and not just because it's bud.

It IS amazing isn't it when you get that close-up view of the trichs? The articulating arm was a cheapo thing attached to yet another magnifier which didn't work well. Told ya I tried them all. :) I ripped off the magnifier that came with the arm and glued on the RS magnifier.

These people sell junky Japaneese stuff for next to nothing. I wouldn't buy critical stuff from them (pumps, lights, etc.) but the arm is worth the 12 bucks.

Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices

Another idea would be to get a camera tripod and figure a way to mount the RS microscope. In either case you wouldn't need to cut a nug.

Hope this helps!

Haha! Harbor Freight what a store, they have everything on the cheap, both in cost and quality...

That's awesome... I do have a tripod standin around a bit of tape and should be good to go... You rock.

Hmmm. Well I love my Radio Shack 60X-100X scope.

Also you do not look at the trichs on the plant. Pick a nice bud leaf that has trichs on it and clip it off. Then place the leaf on a table or counter top and look at it there with the scope. It is impossible to look at something through a scope while the scope is not steady.

Yeah...I'm a contractor and would NEVER buy that stuff for my business, but when it comes to little add-ons they're the ticket. Just got a zillion ty-raps for like 5 bucks! I don't need Lowes or Home Depot brand to train my babies. :)

I don't know if you have those guys who ride around in vans and come up to you at a gas stations sayin "pssssst...buddy...my boss *accidentally* loaded an extra air compressor in my delivery vehicle and I'm looking to sell it for a couple hundred", but I think they buy that junk at Harbor Freight and try to resell.
