lil help yall.
Plants are 6 weeks into flower. Sativa strain grown in roots organic soil mix with alot of extra perlite.
Plants recieve nothing but protekt and calmag each watering and some Super Plant tonic (bmo) once a week.
All my plants are exhibiting the same signs.

It begins with wierd clear holes in the leaves:

Havent seen any mites or bugs on the leaves. That vicious burn came in later.

Looks like mag to me but don noe why.
My theories:
1. Lockout - tested soil ph by taking a chunk of soil from base of a few plants and mixing wit ro water. Ph came out 9+. Don noe if that is an accurate way to get soil ph. High soil ph may be from watering with protekt each watering.

2. To much mag in soil? I use ro water and add 5ml cal mag and 1 gram epsom per watering (and 2.5ml of protekt). Soil has added dolomite as well. Top dressed with more today.

3. Normal? My last run my plants had this same deficiency showing up at this same point (right after stretch and flowering began). First time thru i thought it was jus normal flowering process but my yeilds were terrible. Buds were light and airy but sugary as hell.

^^ this is "week 6" but plants didnt start putting thick pistils till week 3.

Any ideas yo? This whole organic thing is complicated. I noe yur not suppose to mess wit soil ph... But im thinking thats the problem. Jus not sure why. Plants thrive all thru veg and stretch and then show mag def in flower >.>.
I got plants at week 6,4 and 2 or flower but still not sure. Everything is watered the same way soo...

Try giving your mediums a flush if you haven't done so already. Flush with 3x the volume of your pot with your RO water. Check the run off pH and ppm. You'll notice the ppm slowly going down and the ph slowly matching the water going in!

My first thought was pH problems. 9 is hella high, you got lockout, pH needs to be around 6.5 (I think) in soil.

Bleh i was tryna avoid flushin. Kind of a pain since they all in 3 gals >.>. My RO system only puts out 3 gals per hour and i got 13 plants. Guess ill flush the oldest 4 and see how they fair.

Sir KK

Ps. Since im organic, i dont use tap water, but cud i flush with say 8 gals of tap water and the last gal ro water with some added bennies and be okay? I don noe how bad my tap is, i jus never used it off top.

Pic 1 shows thrip damage. Thrips hide and run when they see ya...kinda like cockroaches. THey have 3 stages of life were they look totally diff. They hang out in the nodes sucking the nutrients out of the plant. A plant can live its whole lifecycle with thrips, your plant will just look like hell at the end and yield will not be as good.

Ive seen bugs in my soil but i concluded they were springtails. Thought i had root aphids at one point. It was never confirmed or not. Niether were the springtails exactly but they looked like em. Jumping around in my run off and shitt.
Don thrips hang in the foliage? Ive not seen a single bug in the leaves/stems and have looked with a 60x magnifying glass

the 3 stages are: fliers, aphid looking thing and the final stage is soft shelled black and tan tiny beetle looking bug. (sounds like you just named some of the stages;))

Hmm. I havent seen any beetle bugs. There was this one flying guy i saw once. He was chillin on a blue bucket all exposed. I was surprised thou. If ther was only 1 of those things, wat wud b the odds of me finding it?
But if there are more, i have yet to see em. Perhaps i shud flush with a heavy dosage of some bug killer like sns203? 2 birds wit one stone ;)
