LUXX Brand no longer available ， what's going on ?

Anyone knows about what's going on Luxx brand ?


Due to difficult market conditions, the Luxx brand will no longer be available after December 31, 2022.

In our hearts, the growers, the grinders, the change agents, the challengers and the industry vets, will always shine bright. Thank you for your support and encouragement all these years. While the Luxx brand may fade, we hope that our impact on the industry has been positive and stands the test of time. Again, thank you.

Sounds like it was difficult market conditions.

Pretty sure Hawthorne bought Luxx. Maybe consolidating / eliminating competing brands a they also have Gavita?
Then there are some lawsuits with dangerous LUXX product or something like that so it could be side stepping some liabilities

The American market is not good and the price of lights is getting lower and lower. And Hawthorne wants to keep Gavita.

They spent $213 million on a brand that sold them lights claing IP66 when they were in fact not rated for that. In addition there was some paperworks issues on the drivers actually being used. And some blown boards at users facilities.

AKA Luxx sold a business based on lies and are now seeing that castle crumble. And the Buyer(hawthorne) and sellers(luxx) are now all spinning stories to hide both theri incompetencies in business.

They own two brands, then those two brands can make money for them , don't think that's the reason, it costs arms and legs to eliminate competing brand , it doesn't make any sense .

I going with Hawthorne bought Luxx with a plan just to kill it off all along, if effort to get rid of the competition.

I think they bought them for the brand and then decided to use the manufacturing capacity for other brands like Gavita and ended the LUXX brand.

There has been a slowdown in the market so there are other factors that may be in play.

Just look at the cluster fuck they have made out of the Botanicare brand. Looks like they are slicing and dicing and eliminating all but the best selling products in each brand they acquire

Other than their coco coir Botanicare was just another fluff cannabis nutrient company. I used them for one run years ago and that was it. Way overpriced bottled nutrients.

I stopped buying Botanicare once Hawthorne took it over, so I'm not privy to what has happened with the line.

Overpriced, probably. But I did grown some great tasting buds with that line, and it was a super simple one-part. I liked that it included both Kelp and Fulvics.

The plants grew just fine. But no better than with anything else I've used and I was going through the stuff way too fast. I didn't stop using it because it was a bad product. It was a drain on the wallet as I had 4 reservoirs at the time. It was years ago when I used it and it was the last grow I ever did using bottled nutrients. I've been using water soluble dry nutrients ever since saving a ton of money to get the same results.

Botanicare in the beginning was a very unique line, but yes Way beyond the price point of being used for anything other than cannabis where the wallets could be squeezed. I actually ran a little online hydro supply bus back in the early 2000's and dealt directly with them and the founder Treg Bradley - he was a super good dude. Just gotta realize that was the era of "Nutrients are the gasoline of the Hydro Industry".
Pure Blend Pro to date has come the closest to an organic soil grow flower of any line in my opinion.
And let's not the forget the most important contribution Botanicare gave to the industry - CAL-MAG!
