Lumen Question

hey guys
I read somewhere that more bulbs dont = more lumens and that you only have as many lumens as your strongest bulb. Is this true? Or can you get multiple bulbs to get more lumens in the room?

I have 2x 68w CFL
2x 40w CFL the long bar type
2x 23w CFLS and 2x 26w CFLs from the aerogarden grow lamp.

My grow is in my signature if you can check it out to see pics etc etc

it is not entirely true, it all depends on where you put the other bulbs. each bulb is only going to penetrate to a certain distance and you add more bulbs over a different area that the first bulb is not covering sufficiently.
now if your doing a vertical grow, you add a second light above the first light that is lowered down into the middle of the plants. now it will utilize both bulbs and be more efficient.
