lumatek 1000w dimmable or galaxy 1000w dimmable ballast.

was bout to pick up a ballast an wanted to know what you guys think is better..
this will be my first ballast :bigjoint:, think it time to upgrade since ive been using t5s lol..
the price is pretty much the same the only thing that is diff is the brand an that the galaxy is 400w 600w an 1000w where lumatek is 600w 750w an 1000w..

just wanted to hear some opinions/pros or cons too either of them from you guys..

i just got one.... it is briter.... but im not a fan.... its alot hotter then my old one... but it does still work unlike the old one.....dimmer not really a big deal

Dude I can tell you with 100% certainty that Galaxy is a far superior ballast to Lumatek. Lumatek's are NOTORIOUS for blowing bulbs and failing. I'm telling you bro you are WAY better off with a Galaxy. Lumatek return rate is probably 15% or better. They are popular because they were the first ones on the market and were very well marketed. I can back up my statements with numbers but I'm too lazy. Ask your local hydro shop how many Lumatek returns they have gotten vs. Galaxy's.
 
i ended up ordering a lumatek lastnight.. was gonna get one a local hydro store, but it was like 100 buck cheaper an no tax online hahah..
