can someone please explain to me how the lucas formula works?
I use the basic Lucas formula (Maxi-Gro / Maxi-Bloom) in hempy buckets, but with perlite/vermiculite/soil cap....have not tried coco yetSorry I obviously didn't do enough research before I posted that question however... I have been seeing a lot of post about how Lucas formula doesn't work well in a hempy bucket with coco so I guess what I should have asked is what would lead someone to believe that it doesn't work well?
nice looking plant I'm definitely going to try this method of growingI use the basic Lucas formula (Maxi-Gro / Maxi-Bloom) in hempy buckets, but with perlite/vermiculite/soil cap....have not tried coco yet

thanks...below is a link that may provide some ideas for a hempy and the Lucas formulanice looking plant I'm definitely going to try this method of growing
Don't mean to jump in here. But I would still pH it. You probably could get away without doing so but... When I mix 6ml/gal micro and 9ml/gal bloom, in RO water, the pH is right about 5.5.-5.6. That's even after the calmag. That might be a little low, depending on who you talk to. If you add additives, I do, you want to pH for sure.according to my research you dont have to ph or worry about ppm while using the lucas method with RO water so i was wondering based off of your expierence can I get away with not having to worry about ph or ppm if im using RO water with the lucas formula
pH goes very low with maxi-gro/bloom, so you must get the pH up to a reasonable level.according to my research you dont have to ph or worry about ppm while using the lucas method with RO water so i was wondering based off of your expierence can I get away with not having to worry about ph or ppm if im using RO water with the lucas formula
What would be a good ph to be at?pH goes very low with maxi-gro/bloom, so you must get the pH up to a reasonable level.
hempy is much more forgiving than other hydro methods, but still needs to be in the ballpark....I use the pH test drops...I don't worry about the PPM as you use the same amount of nutes from start to finish (with the basic Lucas formula).
If you are using RO water, then I would highly suggest using CAL-MAG ....I use about 1 ml per liter (4-5 ml per US gallon)
5.8 pH for hydroWhat would be a good ph to be at?
