hello fam i gave the lucas formuls a try and for the first week my chocalope was looking real good and the next thing i know she was dead? i did what was said 5 micro 10 bloom man what did i do wrong?

how old was the plant? was it only two weeks old? If it was, it was way to soon for any nutes... You murderer! lol

Interesting...Give more info please. I just started the Lucas formula on Sunday but Im doing 8/16.

my plant was 4 weeks old and looking very niice fan leaves were the sive of my hand. the next thing i know the leaves started to turn yellow and die off. i thought it was the ph so i checked that every day 5.8 on the head. it looked as if it she didnt have any "N" hell i think thats where i fuct up at? so i took 10 clones from her and started over. this pushed me back 2-3 weeks now. i cant start my next grow on time

She's dead? just be easy on the nutes; something else must of happened; I tell you what, you don't see this type of thing happening with organic nutes, for soil grows of course...

It also varies on the strain, my sharksbreath will take all the nutes i can throw at her, where as the white rhino i had would burn if you even thought about feeding it.

Lucas formula is for 60 years old hippies.
Times have changes and so has the nutrient industry.
Lucas formula is set in science, so it IS a solid way to grow pot successfully, sure,
so even tho nutrients have changed, the evolutionary needs of a plant haven't.
So if not then why is Lucas formula for old hippies? Basically the whole point of the Lucas Formula is to save a few measly bucks by not having to buy all 3 parts of the system, but a lot of posts I've read by Lucas formula uses admit that they had to supplement nitrogen eventually, and those that didn't had noticeably weak growth.
So if your broke, and you have to find a way to say money somehow, just get some miracle grow. Don't believe what anyone telly you, MG grows perfectly adequate to really good plant.

If you notice you are lacking N use 5ml of the grow.

I don't think it was a lack of.......more like a nutrient toxicity......at 4 weeks your plant is still young and you should of used half strength.....also I used the lucas formula for a while but learned that some strains just need more N during the flowering period than others so I just ended up getting the flora grow and now I don't have any problems........

Young plants need to build up to max strength nutes slowly. I usually wait until they spread their roots in the hydroton, for about a week-10 days. At that time I just feed water or low strenth, 350ppms or so depending on your tds meter. Once the roots are spread, I bump to 500 ppms, this is a .7 calibration by the way. then watch to check the ppms after a feeding, if it went down i will bump 100 or 150 ppms, then do the same thing and bring it up to 800 and leave it for a while, toward the end of veg i work up to close to the full 8/16 nute schedule. You probably went from nothing to full strength and many strains dont like that
