LST before or after Topping?

well the title pretty much says it all, in your experience what is the most practical way to combine the 2 methods?? thanks

imo it depends on how long you are going to veg for. if you're going to veg for longer than a month i would probably wait to top. i topped one of mine a few days before first tie down, and then about a week later i had 2 tops, so i tied one going clockwise and the other going counter clockwise. if i was going to do a long veg i would run out of space quicker this way, so it's up to the grower really.

it's all up to you really. Just remember topping causes strees for a bout a week, as Total Head said, and LTSing causes very little stress. Just think what you want your plant to look like, and when you want it to look like that. So think about how long you plan on vegging, and then work it out in your head. I'm acctually planning on doing an LST around the bucket, and THEN topping right before it reaches all the way round. I think I may do one the same as Total Head as well, with two tops going opposite ways around the pot.

thanks alot guys, i plan on vegging for good 5 weeks, maybe 6..basically i have 2 plants and i wanna LST one and LST/top the other.. i guess for my circumstances it owuld be more practical to top first and then wait for the 2nd top and LST.. gonna give it a try thanks guys
