"Bedrocan president Marc Wayne says the company will still be able to turn a profit, even after price cuts that amount to roughly 33 per cent because of improved production efficiencies."

having a lot of poor quality cannabis and over pricing it has resulted in the need to lower sale pricing. shame on you for starting so expensive and offering poor quality medication.

even at 5/gram its still too expensive for my needs. ill keep my garden thank you

Dundee Capital Markets analyst Aaron Salz says it costs the average consumer of medical cannabis between $1,400 and $2,800 a year to access the drug.

That's based on consumption of 0.5 to one gram per day at an average cost of $7.50 per gram.
How many of you have a 0.5 to 1 g per day script? The average is 18g/day...
I guess $1400-$2800 sounds better the the $49,275 the average person would be paying.

Its mostly stuff from their first few harvests i would imagine... ive seen pics/reviews of it and its definalty not floor sweepings... at a dispensary it would pass for dubs. trips and quads not a chance. no such thing as lp's with trips n quads especially having to irradiate. I have yet to see irradiated weed be anywhere near gas

Its cheap because all of these LP's have too much inventory. Health Canada only allows so much cannabis to be held in their vaults. based on the security directive and the security level of their vault. i figure a level 7 vault can hold something like $1.5m in weed, they value it at $10k a kilo so thats only 150 kilo's a level 7 vault can hold... so once they hit max capacity (because noone is buying it) Health Canada requires them to destroy it to make room for new harvests.... $3.50/g is better than destroying it.... dont think for a second its "compassion"

I checked out your menu, only one strain at $7.5/gram which is your lowest price. Everything else is $10-12 pretty much. WTF man! Have some compassion.

they'll be selling to dispensaries soon enough..8-)
They might eventually, but not anytime soon imo. The dispensaries are still illegal federally, and LP's are restricted to selling to patients by mail order. That won't suddenly change. On the other side, the dispensaries that have been licensed, did so with a business plan that doesn't include LP suppliers. I think we'll get to the point where the small bm and mmar growers that are currently supplying the dispensaries will be licensed to do so. Molson's still makes money along side the craft breweries, when the dust settles, weed will be the same.
I just hope it happens in my lifetime. lol

The LP's are pushing HARD to allow them to operate dispensaries of their own...

A smart dispensary will set up like an extension of the MMPR. And do their best to mimic the regulations with record keeping, security and QA/QC. It will be much easier to convince our politicians to distribute cannabis through independent dispensaries if said dispensaries operated just as the federal program dictates. There needs to be a seem-less transition from the LP to the final retail outlet...

If it was my choice, the plant would be no different than a tomato... let it grow wherever and cultivated by whomever. If the cultivator wants to sell what they have grown, let them like they were selling any other product through a legitimate business..

Well if LP's have stores and other Dispensaries have stores, then why not. But only if they don't try to be the only ones. Then I would Boycott their stores. I won't settle for forced buying. Open to all or I boycott.
Corp weed is not my thing.
