Interesting times ahead...
I really didn't think Sam would ever be issued a licence.

226 lp applications refused already. More then 1100 applications so far. 291 still In process. Over 500 returned due to being incomplete. And most important of all.... The application system has ground to a halt. Seem like a system hc wants running effectively?

You just know I'm going to chime in here....well that is unfortunate isn't it? Patients having been fighting with HC for how many years? May LP's have as much frustration as patients. So they're starting to sweat a little wondering if all those investors are going to see a payoff....whaaaan....here's a quarter...maybe they're seeing February coming faster than they had anticipated and oh the potential outcome is looking pretty grim on the old LP front! I'm pretty sure patients were clear that they wouldn't be able to afford all the "best medicine" they were supposed to produce.....bummer for them....suck it up princess! 22 licences and how many have good product to even offer? 3 is it? Shameful. And I didn't swear once!

Ah poor LP's.. Ya right lmfao fucking idiots. Anyways let me throw on my tin foil hat!!!bongsmilieWell here goes I think HC and the government know there fledgling system is fucked and going to fail at Supreme Court level. This bs law suit looks good on HC and the LP assholes couldn't rally when patients were fighting the good fight. As for any LPs lawsuit hopefully they pay the infamous letter lawsuit out before that lol February can't come soon enough!!! Just like a kid on Christmas morning in February :bigjoint:

Peace

"Everybody, every single licensed applicant is suffering from what I call 'whipped dog syndrome,'" he said. "Who wants to bite the hand that's going to feed them?"

Phhht!

It won't be HC feeding them though will it?

And here I thought that New Age was gonna be one of the first LP's. They were gonna offer a doctor's clinic and have all marijuana priced at no more then 5 dollars a gram.

long, drawn out, court battle. bongsmilie

Funny to see LP's walk in the same shoes as patients. Loosing millions or your life? Which one is more important to you?

:hump:

Surprised you don't know him...I don't think HC is a big Sam fan...

"Sam Mellace is one of Canada's longest-standing medical marijuana activists"

"Mellace is known as one of the most accomplished and sophisticated medical marijuana growers in the world. Mellace's high-security medical marijuana production facility in Mission, B.C. has been featured in countless documentaries and publications, including the National Geographic Television documentary "Marijuana Nation," the CBC's "Cannabiz," and many others."

"Mellace promotes alternate, safer methods of ingestion than smoking. With a sophisticated laboratory capable of extracting the various cannabinoids without the use of solvents or adulterants "

"On March 3, Mellace shipped eight kilograms of dried marijuana from his B.C. grow-op to Ontario via United Parcel Service, the method he's used without incident for more than two years. UPS' computerized tracking system shows the package was received at their Concord, ON warehouse the next day. But Mellace was told the package could not be located.
The marijuana was destined for Mellace and three other Ontario patients legally permitted to use the drug to ease the chronic pain of degenerative diseases. Mellace has spent years lobbying the government to allow a more open, mainstream business model in which licensed growers could produce and distribute medical marijuana from local centers across the country.
Worried that his clients were going without, Mellace decided to ship a second package of marijuana from B.C. on March 8; this one containing seven kilograms of the drug. He says he alerted UPS to the second shipment, specifying the contents.
"I told them it was coming," Mellace says. "I'm not hiding anything."
On March 9, the second package was scanned as having been received at the Concord warehouse. But Mellace was again told that it could not be found.
Mellace reported the incidents to Health Canada and York Regional Police but has heard nothing since from them or from UPS, he says."

I've had the pleasure of meating Sam a couple times. He actually took me and my lady out for dinner. Thought he was a really nice guy. And very generous. But at the same time super intense. He was talking back in April how he thought HC was screwing him around and he might have pursue legal action.

Guess he was right. He's definitely the kinds of guy who gonna fight for what he believes in
