Lowryders. Need help

Hey everyone Id like to know if anyone can help me with lowryders anyone who has experience with them? How powerful is the smell? Should I LST ? Or let them grow naturally? I know not many people are fans of lowryder but any help is appreciated I've got some questions

Hey man, I've never grown them per say, but I would say always LST. It will help you increase your yield. The best way to do this is to learn from experience and grow one just to let it finish so you have a personal comparison to the end result when you LST it yourself

I've LST my out door plants and have topped my outdoor plants as well so I have some experience with growing not nearly a pro yet tho lol but this first lowryder I'm gonna do is pretty much purely an experiment it's in a pc grow case I made. Will I be able to produce bud off it if I only use 60 watts of cfl 2700k? I'm not looking for a big yield from this plant it's just purely experiment to see what can happen hell I'd be happy to get 5 grams off it. What do u think?

Hello sly, I've seen some big things from PC grows, but you'll sure get 5 g out of an LST'd Lowryder!!
You may need to change the bulb (maybe get another 60w for flowering if you want) and you'll be fine!!

Thanks dude for your reply I really appreciate it. But what did u mean by change the bulb? Get a different spectrum ? Or where u talkin about a bigger bulb? Because if u ment bigger bulb I don't wanna do that. What I'm trying to do is an experiment to see what yield I could possibly get from a small pc grow box with under 100 watts of light. The box has an intake and an exhaust near the lights to get rid of the hot air. The lights I have set up in there as of now are two 23 watt 2700k cfls and one 13 watt 6500k. So in total i am running 59 watts with 2 different spectrums.or I could take out the 13 watt 6500k and add another 23 watt 2700k that would give me a total of 69 watts with 2700k spectrum only. Which one would be better? I don't want to add anymore lighting then those 2 options what do u think the yield would be In these conditions? I will be running a 16/8 light schedule even tho people say no less then 18/6 for autoflowers but I'm goin with 16/8. In these conditions what will the yield be? All responses are welcome remember this is just an experiment I will not be offended if someone says il only get 2 grams lol it's not about yield for me. It's just an experiment.

And also what will the smell be like for a really small lowryder will it be a slight smell or a strong weed smell. On a scale of 1-10 of smell. 10 being strongest

Experiment to see what yield I get

Strain= lowryder autoflower
Grow space= pc grow box
Lighting= option 1: two 23 watt 2700k cfl and one 13 watt 6500k cfl total watts = 59.

Option 2: three 23 watt 2700k cfl total watts =69

Or option 3: start out with option 1 for about 3 or 4 weeks then switch to option 2 to finish the plant.

Light schedule: 16/8 this is the shchedule il be using I'm not going any higher then 16 hours of light.

Any thoughts of what the yield would be? The lighting options I listed above is it I will not be adding any more bulbs so just those three options is what I'm debating on.I know your suppose to do auto flowers on 18/6 or higher but i am sticking with 16/8 So any and all thoughts are welcome. thank you

Hello! I don't mean increasing your Watts, 59 will be enough for your space. Well, starting as you are (option 1 ) would be better in my opinion.
As you proceed, and see trichs appearing after 2-4 weeks, it would be better to replace one of your 2.7k bulbs with an equal watt 6.5k one! Just keep in mind that autos like the mixed spectrum, I'm just sayin change 1 of your bulbs so the spectrum is more "natural" for flowering and you can finish as you are!

Also keep in mind that autos can tolerate 24/0 light and also thrive! I'm not saying you should do this, but I personally think that giving it 8 hours of sleep is too much for an auto..
What you should also consider, is that you can change your light cycle as you proceed, your lady won't get hurt at all!!

Hmm, the smell.. I haven't smelled one but considering its genetics, I would say that about 5-6 would be a Lowryder..
Don't forget, though, while making a stealthy grow, people can easily know if you have even the lightest smell!! So a gel odour destroyer or sthng, I think will do.

About the yield now.. You could harvest from 0 (if sthng goes totally wrong) to 18-20 g IMO!

And yea I understand autos love light and can do full 24/0 light cycles but I've got a good amount of lowryder seeds for free so this first one is completely experimental and I'm gonna go with 16/8 just to see what happens lol and also when u said put a 6500k in there when it starts flowering ? I thought 6500k was in the blue spectrum and used for vegging and I thought 2700k was red spectrum and used for flowering and bulking up buds? I'm not sure lol this is my first indoor grow Ive done outdoor grows so I'm completely new to all these spectrums and wattage and all that stuff thats needed for a indoor grow lol but anyway thanks again dude awsome answers u gave me

Hey, you're right, I'm fckn stoned! I call them "cool white" and "warm white" instead!! Well, it would be nicer to go with option 3 then, if you do not wish to purchase a "cool white" bulb more for your beginning (2 cool whites + 1 warm white)!

Lol thanks man I'm gonna start germing the seeds tonight and il be posting a pic once a week from start to finish. If u don't mind me asking which strains have u worked with before? Personally I've only done 1 autoflower before it was road runner lol pretty damn small plant but the other strains I've worked with weren't autos

I used to grow lowryders all the time (about 7-8 grows)....but stopped as the "High" level was just not good enough.. as for the smell....hardly even smelled them (but I have a huge room to grow in).. No need to LST lowryders.. Always just let them do their own thing and every grow was successful (very easy plant to grow)..they ALWAYS started off looking lanky and spinly, but after the 4 week mark they fill out a great deal. I am not a big fan of autoflowering seeds, but have tried these as well with the lowryders, and they always seemed to flower to early (to the harvest I was looking for). Just keep in mind this strain is very, very, very dependant on the PH levels..use to have to adjust about 2 times a day otherwise they would yellow over night. You should be good. This strain, as said before is very easy to grow with very few issues.

Sorry forgot to add...whatever you do, DO NOT TOP autoflowering plants!..been there done that..and it just went to shit...as they flower to fast and do not have time to heal themselves.

For this lowryder I'm not looking for a big yield at all I grow all during the summer so I've got a pretty nice harvest to last all winter so these lowryders are not something I even need to grow It's just simply a fun experiment lol but any way when u say the bud isn't the best it's better then some shwag right? Like is it still pretty decent smoke? Just not top quality? And for the smell u say u hardly smell them is it a skunky weed smell like u know its weed or different? I've grown some plants that smelled sweet and fruity almost like u could barely tell it was weed if u were blind folded n smelled the plant. And for ph levels how do u controll them I know nothing about that all my grows have been organic and for water I used collected rain water from buckets I would leave out and it worked great for me each summer. Once again thanks for ur reply I appreciate it I would like to ask u few more questions cuz ur pretty much the only person that replied to me that has experience with this specific plant

my auto, 44 ounce container 30-35 days old around the same amount of watts LST. Dont have much space either just trying to give you a idea on what to expect

Magic P3 auto mixseeds got them from RCMC. Dragon Master Seed co is the breeder, very little smell
