the space : 22 inches long by 16 inches wide and 22 inches tall. Thats 2 full tower computer cases put together.

Question 1: how many lowryders should that space allow

question 2: will a 150w HPS be enough for this space to grow good buds?

Thanks for any opinions provided.

150 will work perfect. Ive used a 150 alone and was surprised but it will get insane hot. If you grow bushy plant grow 2 if you grow single colas grow 4. i got 2 bone dry ounces off a 150. good luck. check out my LR2 journal. i'll be updating today.

I actually have 3 150s on in my room right now in canada. its winter i have my window open with fans. my room is 12 by 10. on the far side of my room with the tv on i am at 84 degrees in that size room. I have the glass off the front of mine because i was told it took lumens but leave it in. whats the point of bright light if its 3 feet away to not burn them. use a glass shield if you have it.

LoL got me worried about burning them. Also with such a short height will I have to move either the light or the plants at anytime? I feel the 150w hps will be strong enough to use from the full height from seedling.

hey thats a good idea.. i bought lowryder dwarf autoflower mix.... my female is at 4 weeks right now it lookn good... im my opinion ur gunna need to make ur setup tall cuz u gotta take into account the lenght on the lights and the height of the pot it sits in... my setup is 32 in tall and thats bout as low as u can make it u might be able to squeeeze 30 in .... i used cfls and their working great jus an idea...

Nice setup and thanks for the information. I am kind of stuck to my 22 inches. I might have to train a bit. we'll see.

I grew huge plants in a 2 foot area before. sorry it was just before digital cameras were all the rage. But they grew out of control and i just kept tying them down every 2 days and they worked ok it was just annoying. you prob wont need to move the light but the closer the better as always. without burning of course. If you vent it from the bottom out the top it really makes a huge difference than side to side. Down to up you can stick the light very close as the heated air never touches trhe plant.

Great! I was really thinking 2-3 fans on each side but I get what your saying about getting the heat out of the top. that was very good advice thanks.
