im looking forward to seeing how your seeds go
Glad to see somebody else interested nick :) I hope I can grow some in may-june. It may not be possible coz I'll be traveling but I'll see if I can build some watering system to leave them alone :)

Thanks dajosh :) I wouldn't mind sharing some seed if somebody was interested but it could end up being a pain or even too expensive sending them to a different country and/or continent lol

I got an irrigation system that I'll try to put together. It's for outdoor but it was cheap so I'll do my best to make it work indoor with a big bottle of water :)

Not sure what those bulbs are but I saw this gel bags that are suppose to last for 30 days each:

Hey guys, so here are a few pictures of the girls:

The lowryder is looking real good, the buds are forming and she is also starting to frost a little those nice buds :)
Last pic is of a bud with brown hairs, that's the last bud I pollinated :) looking forward to those seeds.

The Deimos is not doing very well, she is finally starting to grow some buds but not as beautiful as the lowryder, also this weekend that they were alone, the deimos dried more than the lowryder and so she looks a little bit more droopy now:

This is the last lowryder planted, she is 20 days old and a little small for her age, but that may be alright as the other one ended up being too big lol.

This are the two plants I'm growing to try and grow my first mam. I'll be getting cuttings from the papaya (right) soon and see if I can sex the plant with the cuttings. Can I get roots from the cuttings in a glass of water instead of using soil ? I may try it.

Edit: Forgot to tell you that I got rid of all the males after getting some more pollen.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures :)

hehe yep, a bit of a pain to see the deimos grow like that but I guess it's also my fault for not giving her all the space she needs (different strain, different needs). Anyway, happened something similar with a white Siberian before and she ended up being one of the most beautiful plants I have grown so looking forward to get surprised :)

baby it and u'll get it ...u know it bro...hope it works out...she is gonna be a beast in a month or so
Looking froward to it buddy! ;D

Today I come with some weird stuff that happened to the future mams, they are 35 days old and they both are growing some weird stuff, lets have a look.

This is my papaya cross, it was topped and as you can see is growing what looks like male pre-flowers but the thing is that the plant has been under 18/6 since germination so that shouldn't happen. Also you can see that only two of those pre-flowers have grown in opposite sides (why not four?)

101_2348.jpg101_2344.jpg101_2347.jpg

And this is my blue hash cross, as you can see this one is growing what looks like two branches in the same places as the papaya (could have been four right? lol). Makes me wonder if this one is a female and the papaya male.

Also, the fact that both plants are growing "weird" stuff where the pre-flowers should grow makes me think that this trait could come from the genetics of the father coz I use the same father to breed this seeds.

Haven't got pictures right now but I also grew another girl (already harvested) that I topped and she grew 4 buds in the same place this two mams are growing those "pre-flowers". Could have been two instead of four right ? hehe :)

What do you guys recon, any thoughts ?

the reason why one has four branches and one only has two has to do with where you topped the two.. uncle ben has a great thread on here that describes exactly where you want to top in order to either get two or four main cola's.. so, it looks like you topped on in the area for two main colas, and topped the other one to get four main cola's.. no biggy really, just one will have two tops and one will have four, if they are both females that is..

and as far as preflowers under 18 hours of light, this is also normal.. preflowers are just a sign of maturity, and means that your plant is getting ready to be flowered if you want it to.. what you want to worry about is if your plants start to flower outright under 18 hours of light and not just show signs of preflowers..
and the growth just looks like some new vegetive growth coming in next to where you topped it... everything looking good and normal to me...

I'm not talking about how many tops/colas they have, when I talk about two and 4, I'm talking about the "weird" growth coming out from where the pre-flowers usually appear. I think you are talking about topping and fiming but that's not what I was referring to.

and as far as preflowers under 18 hours of light, this is also normal.. preflowers are just a sign of maturity, and means that your plant is getting ready to be flowered if you want it to.. what you want to worry about is if your plants start to flower outright under 18 hours of light and not just show signs of preflowers..
Showing preflowers under 18h is something new for me, I have grown plants for more than 35 days and they have never shown pre-flowers before it was time to flower. There must be some reason for this, it's the first time I do vegetative growth indoor so the growing condition may have something to do with it, don't you think ?

and the growth just looks like some new vegetive growth coming in next to where you topped it... everything looking good and normal to me...
The growth from the blue hash is not normal, look at the pictures again because it seems to be growing branches where it should be growing pre-flowers. That's not normal.

So today was cloning time, made 4 clones. This is my first time cloning for real so hoping I get at least two healthy plants out of this 4 clones:

I put two in water just to try two different methods and see if there's a big difference between them. The glasses have been covered to protect the roots.

Will update about the lowryder and the deimos in two days.

Got some bad news today, I've been really unlucky with the lowryder seeds and the last one I planted is also a male. That means that only 1 out of the 7 seeds I planted is actually female.

Did anybody else planted lowryder#1 regular seeds ? I wonder if the female ratio is always as low as it has been for me. With other seeds I get around 50% females.

Here are some pics of the ladies at 45 days, will harvest in two weeks. Also the two clones I had in soil were looking a little droopy so I put them in water like the other two. I don't think soil or jiffy pellets are good for cloning, won't use them again.

Wow!! amazing recovery of the clones that were in soil. It took them a few hours but today they are looking really happy :D Glad I change them to water, happy days.

Subbed, also I'm planning on growing some Lowryder #1's as well this year, closet grow and hoping to have about 5 fems in the cabinet :). Hopefully I'll have a bit more luck on the fems than you have - not to be offensive. May just be a bad batch? Who knows..

Either way, the plants are looking LOVELY! Can't wait to see the final product!
