Lower my humidity?

Rubbermaid Rig in my closet, 2 18gal stacked ontop of eachother. exaust fan on top 2.5in which runs on the light cycle and 3in intake fan on the side near the bottom which turns on every 2-4hrs for 30 mins. 5 26w 6500k cfls for 2 clones that are vegging and have their first lst bends in them. my temp has been consistantly around 80F in the day and down to about 65F in the morning before the lights come back on. Relative humidity has been about 50-65%, i saw it 70% once but it was cold and I added heat to drop it back to 55%. I've read that the 45% range is ideal, what can I do to lower my RH?

thanks for the quick response riddleme,
when i have funs on 24/7 the temps get down to about 55F when the lights go off late at night and into the early morning, is this too cold? also, what does high humidity do to the plant?

does not hurt in veg but can cause molded buds in flower

Well I'm going to have to fix this before I start to flower. I'm thinking of adding another exhaust fan to the top. Thank you for the responses riddleme, also thank you for the advice you give in your threads/journals. I've been trying to read them all, they're very helpful.

I was just thinking, what if I put an orchid plant or something with similar roots in my flower box to use the moisture from the air and dehumidify the box. Is this a good idea?

I would not worry so much about it been in the 70's when you are vegging, but i would do has the rest say run the fans 24/7.Allthough there is no dought that the humidity will need lowering when it come's to flowering some growers take too from instruments if the plants look healthy then they will be fine. All though all ph and cf/ppm metres paly a big roll in my growing. But it sounds from what you are saying that you are just getting the odd day or so when the humidity is a little high don't worry the plants will tell you if any thing is wrong.

Thanks tyke. I live in a humid climate where RH is usually 60-70, so I'm trying to find a way to lower it in my box for when I start flowering. I would like to start by the 14th of this month. I've been running fans 24/7 and humidity is still the same (60-70%). I'm beginning to think there's not "cheap" fix for this and that I'm going to have to get a dehumidifier.
