Low pressure sodium - 200 lumens per watt

I googled a bit, one of those bulbs like SOX 135 watts (16 dollars) pulls out 23.500 lumens, not bad for that power. Is there any good reason (besides their length!) for not using them for growing?

I'm not sure it's probably in the grow bible. I'm sure I've read about them they probably produce excessive heat or are in the wrong color spectrum or something or people would be growing with them.
