Dude, go after her...seven years isn't easily replaced. If you truly love her, go after her hard, and NEVER let her go. Sorry to of sounded so harsh earlier. Yes, tons of marriages--all too many--end up in havoc and grief. My opinion as to why is that people tend to think marriage/commitment is all about fun. Let's face it...it's not. There's compromise and anything worth having in life entails work. Good luck to you.

She is 200 miles away until tonight when she will be 30 hopefully. My truck was just taken away by the tow truck and I am essentially snowed in. I did own a car but she drives it every day and currently has it I see it as hers anyway. I cannot get a ring until monday when I can cash a check and it won't be until monday when the truck is back going. Ford Triton V-10's eat the rest of the ford parts attached to them, at a steady chomp. On this ring I am thinking like $1500 - $2000 will I be able to get something decent? I got snowshoes but everywhere will be closed by the time I got there. When the truck started then died 3 seconds later I thought briefly of flying off the handle.

Why not just call her? If money is tight, as it is with so many these days, the ring itself is not really the issue. If you need to use that tax money to fix your truck, I am sure she will understand. I wouldn't think it's the ring so much she's desperately seeking immediately. More likely it's the understanding that she's the one...the one and only for you. 2 grand will buy something very nice.....just hope she trusts your taste. You will not get the finest cut or the largest diamond, but really, that's not the point that matters.

Thanks, I will let you know how it goes. I think I might be too late but if I don't try I would never be able to live with myself.
