Lots of questions about how to grow a great crop.

Hi I have of questions about starting cannabis plants, and how to grow a great yield. I have heard that Fox Farm Soil is awesome for growing MJ, is this true, and why? Once I get good soil I was planning on purchasing worm castings to add into the soil. What would be better worm castings or a small compost tea? Also does anybody have a good grow tips they would like to share? I would really appreciate some help, thank you in advance.

I don't amend my soil, just use nutes, but FF is good stuff as long as you don't burn your plants. It can run a little hot. You won't need any extra nutes until 3-4 weeks with it which is nice.

Give us some more information. Just to cure my curiousity. Will this be an indoor or outdoor?

FF is fine. I use light warrior for seedlings and ocean forest for later on in the grow (both made by fox farms).

What kind of grow tips are you looking for? Here's one:

With cannabis plants, sometimes less is more. Example: Lets say you wanna start feeding your plants nutrients when you think they're ready. Well, in this scenario, you wanna feed them a small dose of nutes instead of the regular dose. Why? Because too much nutes can kill your plants FAST. But too few nutes will slowly hurt the plant, giving you enough time to add a little more. See?

Another tip:
Patience is key.. I'm sure you understand this one. Don't make grow moves too soon just because you're worried about something. Take pics and ask around what you should do. Try not to make a bunch of different threads though or the members will ignore you haha. Give it time and thought and make the right move.

Errr I guess I could think of more later, but that's it for now. :leaf:

wow , another lazy wanna be grower . All of your questions are already answered here in the site . All you have to do is load a couple of bowls and enjoy some good reading . A lot of people have done many grows and posted good notes with pics . All I see you doing is asking questions waiting for people to hold your hand . learn to help yourself and the info will make more sence.

My suggestion to you would be to buy a couple good MJ growing books like one or both of these

http://www.amazon.com/Marijuana-Horticulture-Outdoor-Medical-Growers/dp/187882323X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1364488359&sr=1-1&keywords=marijuana

http://www.amazon.com/Marijuana-Growers-Handbook-Complete-Cultivation/dp/0932551467/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1364488359&sr=1-2&keywords=marijuana

Then come back to the forums with specific questions. Read a book or three that lays it all out rather than try to piece it together from sometimes dubious internet advice.

Just my opinion.

What he said except dont learn the basics here on RIU. Its too full of very bad habits and pure bullshit. Instead you would be much better off to learn the basics on a regular gardening site. MJ is an annual and should be treated as one.

I know this sounds rude, computer tech, but he's right. There's so many threads on this site about fox farms soil, it's so easy to just use the search bar or go to google and click on a riu search result link to a thread on your subject.

And there's plenty of threads that hold good tips. Many threads dedicated to just good tips. I do understand sometimes you can't find your answers, but we appreciate the effort.

By the way, subbed for this one. I'm here to help :leaf:

Don't worry man...there are more dicks per capita here than human beings. I understand how info can be hard to find when you have a particular question and are newer to RIU. Start with the basics first, drop the additives and just run soil for your fist kick. Adding shite can come later when you know why your adding.

Pick up a couple of meters ppm and ph they will help you immensly and a bible also.

Here is a decent start for ya...http://www.kindgreenbuds.com/cannabis-grow-bible.html...its not the best but has some real good info to start.

Good Luck
