lost Newbie attempt granddaddy purple & mazar

the taller ones are granddaddy purps and the lil ones are mazar. granddaddy are about 4 weeks old and the mazar two weeks one mazar grown in soil. all started from seeds

My setup:
closet grow
DiY bubbleponics( learned here thanks to twistedheat57,Roseman and purpdaddys.
4 cfl bulbs 24 watt 6500k
4 computer fans for air flow
some cheap foil tissue for reflective

using foxfarm grow big
ph betwwen 5.5 to 6.5

here are some pics. any advice would be helpful
as you can see the tallest one aint doing too good upon checkin roots I felt the air tubes a lil slimey in the reservoir does this indicate somthing or does this blackberry that im burnin on got me trippin.

oh yea instead of the leaves turning brown and drying up, the leaves are green and dries up crisp..... so hopeless

well my biggest plant died...bummer ... I guess I'm gonna learn from trial and error. Well here's an update. I do not know what happen the first time but I started over to the beginning. I Cleaned and Flushed the reservoir thoroughly, washed the Hydroton pebbles and let it soak in ph'd water for 24 hrs. Next day I filled up the reservoir poured in some fox farm and a teaspoon of some super thrive and checked the ph. It was between 5.5 - 6. All Set ..

I brought my barely surviving plants which I had soaking in just regular water and put them in. I turned on the lights and left it alone. I has to leave out of town for two days so i just left the lights running 24 hrs for those two days. When I came back I was surprised to see that it came back to life and grew three to four inches and looking healthier as ever. Here are some pics.
