Looking to build a second tent, need a light...

So I am currently running a 4x2x6 tent with a 300 (350MAX) watt DIY samsung strip LED.

I am looking to start another tent, a 3x3 or 4x4.

Looking to buy a light, was looking at timber lights or HLG.

Also trying to spend under $800 for a light.

Any personal recommendations?

Cutter has one like the HLG 550, but cheaper. Shipping and taxes/import duty are the question. And trumps tarrifs. Was going to post a link, but can't find the light now.:cuss:

You can also build a nice COB from cobkits.com, something pretty much like the Timber options. It's very simple and he can help you get all the right parts for your light. I bought one from cobkits, my first real LED. So far I am very impressed with it. You could assemble a bad ass light for that space for probably 450 ish.

I think ive ive seen something about a "qb960" somewhere here or alibaba. So you might have been copied. Or if you manufacture the circuit board in china to later put diodes in canada they are using the board, maybe. Im pretty sure @OLD MOTHER SATIVA s board he made custom later was sold by r2t, same dimensions same diode count. Every board gets copied. Doesnt mean bcbs have alibaba diodes in them though. I assume they mount the diodes themselves in house or in canada.

"6 x22" x 560 diodes

ps..i think hansion jeff is gonna mess up my newest order[again] plus he is not really giving me 50% this next order
now he has changed it to 50% of the last order

i was gonna get a 10" x 22" board with 2 x 320 diode boards on it seperate connectors

..he is alread confused

..screw thatiwill order do n..get my 50% then go back to rt2..at least they never screwed up orders

***hey Cutter ..my friend..this should be an order to you but your customer service is terrible

I order my diodes from several suppliers, sphere test, then put into boards. And yes they copied my board.

Why are you cramming all the leds so close together for?
Is it a 2 channel board?
I'm confused, so I can understand how Jeff must feel.......... :bigjoint:

560 diodes on 6" x 22" cramming.... ?

...you[and jeff] are confused..jk

it pretty light @75 w a board..no heatsink cost..been doing pretty gor for few years

in retro spec i shoulda done two channel..i now do not trust so many diodes on one channel to not do some current lagging

so the 10 x 22 and two channel with 640 diodes is bang on and i would try 150 w per board and work down unti i see that air movement would keep it in the temp zone

its not gonna get built..i am gonna bail

Those are fotop800's!!! I didn't realize it before!
Im suspecting the FoTops go in some light on the market but ive never figured out which one.

I dont know how this IP thing work. Ive seen people talking about contracts with the alibubbers, stating they cant make a copy of the light. But is that on the whole light? Can they make more circuit boards and just do versions?Dunno. But what is clear is that they will copy, allways.

I really like the dimensions and diode count. Its like 2 qbs, short an inch in width.
If you wanna add any extra spectrum jazzing with strips or monos its hard to get a even cover when you work with 12 inch wide fotops. Price isnt bad from r2t neither. Btw @OMS, what par/lux do you get from running those at 75 each? And board temps?
