Looking for the right Driver to run 12 Luminus CXM22 3500k 90cri Cobs

Yeah my man Cobkits told me that the 480h 48 would be ok with 12 Luminus Cobs on it.
This would be true for the 'A' version. The 'B' version is capped at 48V. You will not be able to remotely dim the 'A' driver.

I run 10x CXM-22 on an HLG-480H-C1750B at 35w each (5 series / 2 parallel), but I don't recommend it. This configuration draws 470w at the wall when all the way up. Reason I don't recommend is I had to take some heroic measures to keep the holders from shorting out at this series voltage (over 250V). If you solder in the chips this won't be an issue.

By the way, the 1750 driver I mentioned above is a near perfect match for 5x CXM-22 in series.

I like the 3x 320 48a suggestion above by diyled, but you won't get remote dimming. Have to go to the 320 54b for that.

thats correct. thats why i sell 48As and 54Bs but not 48Bs (voltage too low) or 54As (risk of voltage too high if too few cobs)

both 48A and 54B top out at 53-54V and are relatively foolproof with the ~50V cxm22 as well as citizen 1818 and 1825

Why do you say they dont fill drivers well and if you run parrallel dont you risk run away
Not if you know how to read a test report. I wire everything in parallel. Cobs/strips/qbs.

Series offers no advantages over a parallel imo.

Over 150 lights and never a problem.

One thing I like about series wiring is that the higher voltage allows the use of smaller wires and longer runs for remote driver installs. Another advantage from what I've seen with my builds is less wiring to deal with overall. A final small advantage is less voltage drop leading to higher overall efficiency.
