Looking for some Help

Hello. I am new here. I am trying to grow my first plant. I have a bit of an odd situation... I planted 3 seeds a few months ago. I know it's been a long time but I hadn't paid any attention to the plants for months. Two of the seeds sprouted and died. We had very cold temperatures and rain and the one surviving plant was outside in a pot without being cared for at all for months. I am surprised it's alive.

A little background on the seeds, I believe they are sativa, something called OG Fire that I got from the medical dispensary. This was the one and only time I've ever had a seed in my medicine.

Anyway, I don't know where things stand. I am not sure if it is a male or a female but I think it may be too early to tell. Another thing, this plant looks very skinny and unhealthy compared to the plants that I see other people post.

Is there a way to fix it? I went to the hydroponics shop and they gave me a few things to try, one I mixed with the water today and gave it to the plant. I don't have any meters or any fancy tools.

The plant is about 2.5 feet tall. I read that some of these sativas can grow to 8ft! I would prefer that it doesn't grow to 8ft.

Oh another thing, the people at the shop told me that the plant wouldn't be harvested until October. Can it possibly take that long even though it's already a few months old?

Please look at my pics. Is this salvagable? Can anyone offer any tips. Where do I stand? Can you tell the sex?

We are only getting 10 hours of light. That's not good, right? I don't know anything. I am not going to get my hopes up on this one working out but maybe I will at least learn and be able to do better next time.

dont give up on the plant if its legal to grow it were you are plant it in the ground once the last freeze hits and youll have a monster next harvest...................of bring it indoors and put it under 4 cfls on 12/12

the problem will come when the days get longer your plant will want to switch back into vegetative growth you may want to find a place indoors at that time to finish so you can control the amount of light it receives

It seems like my timing is all off. I can't plant in the ground because I live in a city and I have very little space but also, it would get stolen. It is legal to grow here but I only have a balcony to work with. I could move it inside but I have no lights or setup for that. I just looked at the light calendar and it says march it will be 12/12.

If I bring it inside at night in a room with regular lighting, will it think it's still light out?

anything below 12/12 is good for flowering once it gets above 12 hrs of light is when the plant will want to switch

I can't believe all of this is happening. I didn't even know what I was doing and now things are royally screwed up. I don't even know if the plant is female. I think I am going to start bringing it inside when it gets dark. Last night I brought it in because I thought it was too chilly. Months and months I pay no attention, now I find out there hasn't been enough light this whole time and it hasn't been fertilized, haven't watered it even. I really need help. I need to go back to the hydro shop, in fact, I need them to come here and service this plant. :-o

I am a bit impatient but I realized I have this plant growing and now I want to take some control of the situation.

What do I do about the sex? Is there a way to find out if it's a girl or a boy?

At this point, I feel like like, If I do nothing it's going to probably die.

I am worried my plant may be a hermaprodite. When will I be able to tell? If I have white hairs on the top, does that mean it's a female?

I am still very confused as to what to do about this plant. If I do nothing and leave it outside, it will get flowers and it's too small to have flowers IMO. I have been bringing it inside at night now and putting it in the laundry room. It seems to like it in there, it perks up instead of looking sleepy.

The bottom 2 sets of leaves are yellowing. I just added the first food yesterday, will it improve?
