LOL, yea, it is older. Yes 4x4+ is appropriate for 1k watts. 5x5 would be ideal.

Maybe, 4x6 might be better suited for 2 600w LED's

I mean 4x6 is inherently better suited for 2 lights, that's just the truth. But you could do it
