Looking for grow friendly landlord in MI

Not sure if I'm putting this in the correct area of the site, but I'm looking for a rental in Michigan around Saginaw, Gratiot, Ingham or Clinton counties in which I'd be allowed to grow. I've been growing for 5 years, I use automated watering with beds and keep humidity low, so I'm not going to wreck the floors with water or cause mold damage. I understand well concepts of air pressure and filtration and you can never smell my grows from outside.

Haven't had one bit of luck asking conventional landlords so I would greatly appreciate any feedback! Thanks guys

Old post but relevant.

Kudos to the OP for asking potential landlords first if they’ll allow you to grow. I’d think as a renter your best bet will be to rent a house rather than an apartment. A house might have an unfinished basement or garage you can use. I can understand a landlord objecting to allowing a renter to grow in finished living space since the potential for water damage or a lingering smell is so great. Maybe be up front with the landlord and offer a bigger security deposit to offset the risk?

No one will knowingly rent to a grower because any fire will basically never be covered by insurance. Insurance companies are notoriously good at getting out of paying grow related damages. I would never rent to a grower and I do loves me the good herb!

Does the law in MI let you grow outdoors? I know it's not an ideal situation for some, and you'd have to add security measures in some places.
