I will be running 1 1000 watt light in a 76x76x76 inch tent thats a little more then 6 feet. Im hoping to bring in about 1-2 pounds off this grow using a high yielding strain. does anyone have and advice such as how many plants and what not. i was planning on using fox farms for soil and nutrients. thanks :joint:

I would grow 4 plants only. I would grow The Church, heavy yeilds! (6.5) That is a comercial plant with good stone and heavy heavy trich production.

For the norm you could do 4 plants deep 4 plants across making 16 total. grow them to about 14-16 inches before flowering and the space will fill out nicely and get you a high yield.

Lots prefer this method, but only if from clone. If you do this from seed the drawsbacks could be~ plants not mature yet~Lumens per plant poor~ less yeild~ shit load of soil~Spider mites would be impossible to rid of. I only grow 4 under 1 600 and the last harvest I pulled in a dry 23oz.

I veg until they have been mature for 2 weeks at least. This is my organic LA Con at 18 days in and she smells sour. ( 2.5 months veg)~

how tall do you veg your plants too? thanks for all the quick replys guys.

I veg at least 18" but I prefer 20-22" I also have found the Fim method to be the highest harvesting method. I dis like the Super Crop method, but also like the 4 top method (uncle bens)

goldenganja13 what seed bank did you use i plan in using attitude. just:joint: feelin:hump: waiting for the brownie to kick in :arrow::shock:

i would do 16 plants in a cirlce fan in the middle pointing up at the 1000w hps using perabolic shield and hang the light as close as possilbe using soiless"sunshine mix #4 i know somone getting 2 1/2 pounds a light that way consistantly

You want high yield? Use the SUN - it´s free and nobody ever got a (dried) pound a plant under little lights.

Not much experience with soil. But the 3Little Birds sure do. They use, or at least use to use a system in which they would rotate 12 different containers through a 3 600w setup. The plants closest to harvest were in the middle of the area, the plants just started flowering and in the mid-stages were on either side of that area. Everyday a plant is either rotated or moved to the "station" closer to the middle. They used all organic nutrients, not organic based, and they used to pull the equivalent of 3LB per 1k light, but using 600's. Not a bad example to copy. I know I have that journal, but see if you can find it. if not hit me up, i should still have it.

Unless you have clones from a mature plant I highly suggest you go with 4 plants per light 600-1k. If you try and go with 6+ plants you will force them into flowering before mature or early maturity and your yield and potency will suffer, but the extra work will be there.
