Secrets of the soil

This book....
Just finished it a month or two back. Got some time on your hands? Give it a read. This book sold me 100% on trashing my hydro chemicals. Not just giving them away but trashing them.

This book is more a story of how IG Farben and other chemical companies around the time of WW1 started up the mass production of chemical fertilizers and how industrialized ag got its startup. It continues with the viability of organic method in industrialized ag so that farmers could concievably PROFIT!!!

This book also tells alot about some really interesting farming methods involving farming by lunar cycles.

Sweet, I love learning how things work. I don't like asking questions and just accepting answers... I like to know anything and everything!

Thanks for this, I'll look into it :]
Also, speaking of lunar cycles... I guess if you plant after the first full moon in April, theres NEVER a frost after that, or maybe May.

Drumsinttown.... That does sound like a good read. I'll be checking that out.

It's amazing how profit driven everything is becoming. I watched this movie a few days ago called "Fast Food Nation", dealing with how profit driven The Big Meat Packing Companies have become. After watching it, I sure did not want to go out and get a fast food burger. When Profit is the Bottom Line, corners are going to be cut and someone is going to suffer.

Grow Organic... cause chemicals KILL... the soil, the food, the herb & eventually U
