I've spent the last few days reading over a lot of the threads here. I was originally intrigued by the AeroGarden, however from what I've seen the yield isn't very large and it seems like too much effort is put into modding it into doing something it wasn't designed to do, which sort of defeats the purpose of a pre-made system to me.
With that being said, I've been looking around for other systems that I could buy and start growing with right off the bat. I've checked out quite a few systems, however this one in particular caught my eye, as it's carried by a local hydro shop:
RainForest 66 from Growco Indoor Garden Supply
I was wondering if this would be sufficient for growing, and what types of lights I would need. Also, is there anything else I would need besides lights and nutrients?
Another concern of mine is power consumption. I'm not going for a super large yield, as I only smoke about a little over an ounce a month. Since I'm going for a smaller yield, I would like to cut back in any area that I can, especially power consumption/lights. Would a single plant system such as this be better suited for my interests, or is it too small for the roots to grow?
