A basement corner is ideal for earth connected cooling. You will never warm those walls.

Oh, and not to contradict but to contribute (PC sense advised) Mr Zippy here, finally screamed at the last zip door. NO MORE. Now I lavishly drape the panda folds into an overlapping light lock. Much easier. And I have it on good insider info, that the sound of those zippers is what makes you need to.....flush....psych! :)
The connected cooling makes alot of sense. Again what makes me nervous is this is an old house and I think i would have to insulate the ceiling and then either rock it or plastic it effin good to keep the smell from goring straight through the wood into the living room. I might have to anyway as when you open the tent you are going to have that anyway but I can control when I open it.

Lol, I got one for my drying box, guessing it will work perfectly there. It would be much nicer if they had a curved one (like used on tents) so it opened an actual door like flap.

That is a very easy problem to solve. Stapler + plastic, insulation too if desired. I would staple insulation between the joists, then staple mylar over the top, won't be perfectly flat, but who cares.
If you use panda plastic get the foil faced insulation, it will help block IR in case any pesky cop helicopters or thieves with IR drones try to find your grow.

You have to control the stink in the grow. When I had the carbon canisters pulling right, (a slower speed for longer passage time) I couldn't smell anything. Turn the filter fans off...whew. Then you don't have to worry about smell, and then you don't have worry about insulating above, just drape white side panda. Let the heat shed into the house above.
