I've been using the botanicare lineup the past two years and it seems to work well.

I started the hobby trying to use General organics gobox, had a lot of problems. Was gifted some plants ready to flower and switched to running House and Garden. Zero complaints (other then $$$, youch), buddy comes over and tells me every time he sees the plants they look a lot healthier then when they were at his place (he was using AN).

I'm contemplating super soil or using flora micro/flora bloom in a lucas formula next time. If I have enough of the H&G though, I may just stick with it.

yea flora worked well for a while but definately does not work with hydro well, way to think and clumps up eventually and sent me to get a few deficiencies, easy to fix but it was just a pain in the ass

i have also found supersoil to be alot more complicated and more problems than just using a soiless mix and going from there, with the super soil it is easy to burn the hell out of them and to not get what you need in the plant when you need it, i like scheduled feedings alot more because you know exactly what your doing ect.

I've been using the botanicare lineup the past two years and it seems to work well.
i tend to be a nute junky and most have at least 3 or 4 co's line of products.. started with gh, switched to fox farms, then an's stuff, and recently got a seven bottle sample pack from botanicare that i'm really liking thus far...
the thing i don't care much for with an's stuff is that i was mixing upwards of like 12 or more bottles at a time just for one feeding.. i was beginning to feel more like a chemist than a botanist, and it got rather old rather quickly...
with the botanicare stuff, i am just using the pro veg or bloom, which ever is needed for the time of growth, the liquid karma, sweet and i have always used their cal / mag as well, so i'm still using that now.. and that's it.. much simpler than an's stuff, and i haven't had any issues with their stuff yet..

definately something to look into

super soil if done right is perfect. seriously read the directions carefully and u shouldnt have any probs.i hear lot of peeps complain but the time i using it i didnt want to flower my plants they were doin like ive never seen) but each strain is diff so maybe u got sum strains that doesnt like a lot of nutes, if u burned them before.
right now i use maxibloom 7 grams per gallon my plants LOVE it, i show a pic of my plants and every ones says DAMN thats hella green. and at week 7 of flower i use maxi bloom to give it a nie lil kick to finish up. its cheap its easy and 3 grows cost me about 30 bones in nutes,i also keep calmag around in case of emer. i also use silica tohelp with the cell structure help prevent frost and fights against heat. just improves the plant overall. good luck mate
(using the maxibloom recipe cause i had moved on short notice and couldnt make a batch of ss/ but just order subcool plushberry and vortex along with bubba thats im gonna do it with)

You hit the nail on the head about the problem with ss imo... some strains are light feeders, and don't do very well in ss that i have seen.. and the thing about ss is that once it's mixed, you can't really make it less hot easily, not like using nutes that you add at the time they are needed, they are way easier to adjust for light feeders, or even ones who like a heavier feeding, but you could easily feed ss tea to make up for the heavier feeders...

agreed, or just make it simple on your self and get a simple big resevoir mix your nutes have a shit ton of air stones hook up a pump to it and a hose with a switch, already mixed
thats what i do, beats mixing nutes every feeding, you still have to adjust ph levels and all that of course

You have to kno what Ur mixing inhales. If ur talking a calmg sup yea. I use AN sensical with whatever brand base i want i just try diff nutes for shits and giggles I guess. I wouldnt go mixing different bases say two blooms or organic stuff. unless ur using it up on the spot. Just gets nasty and i use chems for now lol.i like rapid start rooting sup 1ml Gal, and base nutes all way week 3 flower then cut Rapid Start out and grow if using it. Thats my mix calmg with everything.
