thanx man and i had them abit closer and 4 inchs away but figured it would be too close so i brought it down to what you see there, what would u say is key distance would be away from the lights? they are only cfls, but im using nutes on it

2-3 inches away from the top of the plant should be fine .
the optimal ofcourse is like skervy said , as close as u can without burning the plants.
is there air blown on ur plants ?
the fan is pointed to cool the lights ? or is it just taken down for the pics ?
air blown on the plant simulates the wind , and makes ur plant stronger . that is important .

hey guys thanks for all the info, yes i do have 2 fans in there and my stock on it is getten pretty thick, the fans arnt blowen directly onto the plants either, i have 2 4 inch ports for return air and to keep the heat down, also on average how much water do u put in per plant??? and what is ur views on going 24/7 for veg with 4 cfl lights????
also typically how long should i veg for? im thinken veg to about 20 inches or so then force to flower, im wanten a fat stalky plant soo what would be best to acheive that? as for nutes im using sensi grow 2 part and curiouse about sum little tricks, i give it nutes every second day while i water but i do have the lights on 24/7 and keep a close eye on temp. if sumone could get back to me and let me know about sum stuff that would be sweet, thanks alot fellow tokers
if you grow it to 20 inches in veg your gonna have like a 4 to 6ft plant when it finishes not good for cfls. you should top and or lst keep them short and bushy with a flat canopy to get the most out of your lights. and if you want fatter stems you need to put a fan on the plants like the other guy said. also you can switch the lights to 18/6 itll save some power and light life. for watering just water them till you get runoff and all the soil is wet
HOLLY FUCK upto 6ft eh? thats seriouse, but ya my setup is for a smaller scale here i got a pic for ya give u an idea what im working with.

pretty basic you just cut off the top. how long you wait and how far you cut it depend how many tops you want. each node you let grow is gonna make a new top. i waited for a few nodes and my plants have 6-8 tops on each. i did do some training to keep them even though i dont know all the extra specifics of it

thanks alot man, diggen the info huge much appreciated, anouther newbie question for ya, my girls are about 10 inchs im thinken about throwen it into flower sooo just throw in my natural day light lights and change the nutes to the bloom part a n b should do me good eh???
and any little other tricks would be greatly appreciated

howdy again all, soo my one girl is looken rough. the leaves have started to wilt as if i wattered to much, and what is a fix to this problem cuz its got me a lil worried
