I've been flowering for two weeks now, and just bent the plant over. Here are some pics. Any opinions?

Not sure what strain it is. Just random bag seed. Any ideas on yield? I can't help but ask that question first time growing. Here are some pics from today.

the plant looks very nice and healthy dude but just a bit streched, what lights are u using? and how fa do u keep them from the plant?

I thought so too. I'm using a 400 watt MH, and the light was usually around 2 feet or less from the plant, but now it's less than a foot away as I'm running out of room. Early on it burnt the seedlings (only light I have) so I moved it farther away. It continued to burn the plants (or so it appeared) so I just kept it around two feet away.

what u need is VENTILATION....when the plants are still seedlings its ok to leave the light so distant but as the plants get older and bigger u should be able to get that bulb as close as 12" (HPS even closer cause it produces far less heat)...the main issue is, like i said, ventilation, u need to get a fan blowing right into the bulb (more ventilation better)...or else ur not getting the bulbs juice into the plants (a bulb looses half of the lummens at each foot distance)

Alright thanks for the advice. I did have a fan blowing in the room but it was a bit too far away in hindsight. Next time I'll put the fan in front of the setup and try to keep the light closer. It's a learning process and I've learned a lot thanks to the people on this website.

have a question though. You said blowing air right into the bulb.

What about a self contained bulb, where the ballast is built in and there are no flanges for venting? I'm using a 270watt.

Thanks

My HPS system is (or was) just like that with the ballast built right next to the bulb and a glass screen, what i did was, i removed the glass screen and rewiered the ballast with a longer cord so i can put it far away from the bulb (HPS systems developed for gardening allways have remote ballasts so u can put the ballast in a place where the heat wont disturb the overall canopy temps)...still i use a 12" fan blowing right into the bulb (other fan´s and extractors are for the plants this one is just for the bulb) this way i can have the bulb as close as 6-8" to top of the canopy without side effects on the plants...
