Nope, though that does make sense, I always plant my hatched seeds in a half inch divet and sprinkle just enough soil ontop to cover the seed, well maybe if you didn't hatch yours did you? If a tusk ever sticks on you again it is ok to very carefully remove it despite what some may say a out letting it fall off. It will kill the seedling if left too long and I've saved a few by removing it.The beat up seed leaves are from planting shallow and seeds sticking...
