Longterm effects of acid

Yea definitely try shrooms first, and if you do acid and have more than one hit I recommend cutting it in half to get accustomed with the effects, always have a sitter, but don't touch DXM it affects dopamine and it fairly addictive, and can cause olneys lesions.

probably a good idea to shy away from DXM I hav e done it and enjoyed the effects screwed up my stomach pretty bad though the longterm effects of acid you normally hear about are people that seriously push it I have taken acid way too many times but noticed no change physically or mentally short term I was definately, what me and my friends refered to as being a "mush head" basically i was a little slow for a while after almost a year stretch of doing acid almost daily. My advice is give it a shot make sure you are comfortable with the people and place you will be at it

Actually, X isn't as "safe" as most people think, as it really has been proven to chemically damage the spinal cord & can cause seizures. The "hallucination" part of it, is the drug itself eating away at your brain(just like Meth, Crank ETC...). There have been talk shows that have had licensed brain surgions bring with them actual human brains that are both healthy & normal, & affected by Meth. The healthy brains allways look completely normal with no visible damage or defects, but the "brain on meth"...really gross looking; damn near completely black, & full of holes that look like they've been eaten away at by some kind of larg parasite.
My point: I'd stay away from it, even if I knew for sure it was the real X.

You have a bunch of mis-information there my friend.
I couldn't find any info on ecstasy chemically damaging the spine, many other drugs cause seizures in higher instance rates, and in nearly all cases it is the fault of the user due to over-heating, drinking alcohol alongside it, taking way too much, increased sensitivity to strobing lights, quick onset of fever, nearly all of which are remedied by drinking water.

Hallucinogens don't eat away at your brain, LSD and other psychoactives drugs bind with serotonin and dopamine receptors in the brain, sending different electrical and cellular signals than normal, causing a chemical chain reaction in the brain acting on the cells normally acted upon as well as triggering additional cell responses.

The "holes-in-the-brain" is very misleading. They inject a radioactive isotope in your arm and it makes its way to your brain, then they can scan it and see how much blood is in different areas of the brain because its got the isotope marker. Long term abuse of ecstasy, LSD, mushrooms, ketamine, almost all tryptamines and phenthylamines will cause a depletion in serotonin and serotonin receptor sites if abused over a long period of time, although at varying rates (meth has a greater effect on serotonin than the others). The 'holes' in the brain aren't literal holes, they areas of decreased blood-flow, I'm not saying this is a good thing, but this 'holes in your brain' stuff is just propaganda. Serotonin receptor sites have also been shown to regenerate in former abusers of meth and other drugs.

There are tons of side effects of a serotonin disorder, which is what most people attribute to just being 'messed up' from doing too much.

Anxiety, memory loss, fatigue, depression, pre-menstrual syndrome, problems in thinking, concentrating and decision making, low self esteem, needless feelings of unworthiness and guilt, loss of interest and pleasure in usual activities, sleep and appetite disturbances, chronic depressive disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, bulimia, alcoholism, violent temper and poor impulse control, Panic/agoraphobia syndrome

Drug use doesn't cause these problems, it's drug abuse.

God damn it... I keep telling her to make her own fucking name or stay the fuck off this site!!! She's up on here talking all kinds of shit about drugs she has never even tried... I'm going to end up putting a password back on my computer and just letting her fucking bitch about not being able to "send emails" as she likes to try to say thats all she does on here... Anyway people, sorry about my wife's post's

Edit: I really miss the cid... I quit doing it over 7 years ago cause my wife didn't like it... I was a "asshole" on it... I tried to tell her I was always an asshole and that it wasn't the cid

As Tom Wolfe relates in Electric Kool Aid Acid Test: Ken Kesey says...."LSD blows you out of your gourd"
Use caution
This is a ripsnorting great book about the early use of LSD...

Product Description
Tom Wolfe's much-discussed kaleidoscopic non-fiction novel chronicles the tale of novelist Ken Kesey and his band of Merry Pranksters. In the 1960s, Kesey led a group of psychedelic sympathizers around the country in a painted bus, presiding over LSD-induced "acid tests" all along the way. Long considered one of the greatest books about the history of the hippies, Wolfe's ability to research like a reporter and simultaneously evoke the hallucinogenic indulgence of the era ensures that this book, written in 1967, will live long in the counter-culture canon of American literature.

Id rather start with shrooms if i were you, they dont taste so good, but the tea is fine. Do it in a calm chilled out environment, preferably in the outdoors with some friends, someone experienced who could guide you.
Thats my advice for first
Very good advice...

Ok, first off, I never claimed to know everything about drugs I've "never used b4". I do know about Meth...I have a few family members that I USED to be very close to that have completely dissapeared to the drug as I have also lost a younger brother to it(he died at 19yrs old & there was meth found in his system when he was finally washed up onto a river bank after having been missing for allmost 3months straight). I've personally seen how badly most of this shit can fuck up a family, a marriage, or even the start of a little kid's life. So I am just saying what I've seen from my personal experience and yeah, alot of my information may have been wrong, but, isn't that also the point of this forum? To learn about what kind of misinformation the media & possibly find out exactly what the truth behind all of it really is? I've appreciated alot of the info I've seen set straight on here & the only reason I've posted any of the info I have on these topics, is simply because I question what I've heard, seen, or read about it.

Also, I just want everybody to know that "Issues" is COMPLETELY full of shit. He quit doing the cid because we had a 1yrold daughter that he insisted on making watch him beat the shit out of me while he was tripping off the shit! I left for 3months because, he was either going to quit doing it, or he was going to end up killing either me or himself and I wasn't going to allow our daughter to go through it.

2. I don't care if he gets pissed about me telling the truth

3. I've only posted anything on here on his name because he gave me permission to do so.

4. I'm not the only person that questions these things as I have seen many questions on here by other people with just the purpose to learn new things.

It all comes down to one thing:

NOONE SHOULD EVER FEEL THEY HAVE TO LIE TO MAKE FRIENDS, RIGHT?

If I have offended anybody with this, I apologise & this will hopefully be the only time I'll have to bust my husband out for lying or just flat out running his mouth in order to make me look bad to people whom, I'm sure don't care.
Thank you very much

And yes, I did ask my hubby to quit doing cid. But, it was because he was an asshole on it & only seemed to have bad trips & bad mood swings. Of course, that could've also been because he never could do anything without mixing it with alcohol either.

just wanted to clear one thing up:

ecstasy with alcohol is PROVEN to cause physical damage to neurons, as are most stimulant drugs at some level. the myelin sheath (part of brain cells) is weakened and eventually destroyed by these chemicals, resulting in cell death. the rate and total damage is determined by concentration (dose) and duration of exposure.

in MRI images, you do see -different- areas with INCREASED blood flow while under the influence, it also tends to be a more narrow and generally smaller area than when not under the influence. this leads scientists and doctors to conclude that the brain is attempting to isolate the damaged areas while protecting more critical areas.

ok, two things:

the action of LSD is not completely understood but there has never been any evidence that it causes permanent chemical changes to the brain or serotonergic systems.

Flashbacks are when you have short-term hallucinations when not on any acid. I've had them, it's not scary but it does make me think, "Damn, that's not good."
