longer dark periods for a faster harvest?

Hello good people.

can anyone tell me if after 4/5 weeks of 12/12 i can do 14 hours darkness for a faster yield.

i have been told by going from five weeks of 12/12 to 10/14 then even 8/16 it will mature quicker but be 25% less weight.

anyone know about this?

II do it the last two weeks, 14 dark 10 light, last week 16 dark 8 light- not half way. I start to flush aswell then.. Forces the plant to use all the reserves up and with the longer dark periods it co-incides with making the Buds swell up like they do in the last weeks. It just brings it on quicker. Therefor not losing out on the best bit at the end and yeilds still really good cuz of the fattenin up at the end. If that makes sense! Seems to work for me everytime- If ya flush at the same time reducing the hours I defo think that helps bring things on.
Judging when a couple of weeks away maybe diff as not all ladys will be ready at the same time so your call on that one- If im doing 8 ladys and 6 are futher ahead and 2 are less mature then Ill run with it the reduce hours.

Jsut becareful of mould if ya giving more darks hours- De hu would sort it!!
